Register for the upcoming Insights & Innovations webinar, Engineering a Greener Future: Retrofitting HVAC Systems to Achieve Decarbonization, taking place this Wednesday, May 22 at 1:00pm EDT.
Facilities in higher education often have sizable simultaneous heating and cooling loads that typically rely on non-renewable resources, producing significant Tier 1 and Tier 2 emissions.
Traditional HVAC systems are often designed around fossil fuel-powered boilers and electric chiller plants. Advancements in heat pump technologies have enabled a wider range of heating/cooling capabilities that can help meet the demands of these facilities to transition to lower carbon solutions.
My colleagues Jonathan McCrea Equipment Area General Manager, and Rob Tanner, of Marketing for Applied Equipment will discuss the challenges these facilities face today including deep decarbonization goals, limited land access and capital expense limitations.
