Drawing Business Inspiration from St. Patrick's Day: A Historical Perspective for MSPs As we embrace the green spirit of St. Patrick's Day, it's a perfect opportunity for MSPs to delve into the day's history and glean impactful lessons for our businesses. St. Patrick's Day: A Brief History Celebrated on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day commemorates St. Patrick, Ireland's patron saint, who was instrumental in the Irish conversion to Christianity in the fifth century. From its religious roots, the day has blossomed into a worldwide festivity of Irish culture. Valuable Lessons for MSPs: #Adaptability: Emulating St. Patrick's adaptability, MSPs must navigate the tech world's fluctuations, embracing new technologies and modifying services to address evolving client needs. #Persistence: St. Patrick's unwavering commitment amidst adversities serves as a reminder for MSPs. Your journey is peppered with hurdles - technical glitches, market shifts, client dilemmas - yet, our resilience paves the path to sustained success. #CommunityImpact: St. Patrick's indelible mark on Irish culture underscores the essence of community engagement for MSPs. Be it supporting local ventures, participating in community events, or offering insightful sessions on cybersecurity and IT best practices, our community bonds are vital. #LegacyBuilding: Inspired by St. Patrick's enduring legacy, your mission extends beyond mere service provision. You're here to foster trust, ensure reliability, and contribute meaningfully to our clients' and community's enduring prosperity.

Hopefully the plan is figuring out how to solve our existing problems in town, as well as around our schools like damaged streets, speeding in our school zones, & making it safer for all students who walk to school before we continue to keep building apartments/houses. Every morning when I drop my kiddos off at school, I can’t help but to be annoyed at the fact that so many people are such in a rush, they don’t take in regard for any student that may be walking to school. Our “small” city is growing. No doubt about that. But when the speed limit in the school zone is 25 and you have people going 35 constantly, it’s entirely aggravating. There’s never any police presence overseeing. Not to mention, the “back roads” which my main way to and from home, is constantly getting congested now due to adding more apartments/ houses and now a LAGOON. Peoples land/ranches have been bought out and our city can’t even fix the problems we have now. Or what about the fact that the streets are all uneven beyond what you expect. If you’re not going 10, you might misalign your vehicles. No speed limit signs posted so people go whatever speed they want to, and don’t even get me started on 380! It is the worst hwy going through town ever!! It’s dangerous to say the least. Two lanes each way, and constant accidents every day. Something’s gotta give. I hope she has solutions to move in the right direction.

Hospitality is not a universal term. Geographically, demographically, culturally, hospitality can mean something different to different people. Our success comes from our ability to listen; to your team and your residents. Then we can take all of our expertise and resources and create the program that fits for your community. How can we elevate your resident experience? #cclhospitalitygroup

We had an excellent strategic planning session, where we identified four key pillars to focus on: business retention, expansion, attraction, and organizational strength. We're excited to continue this strategic planning journey and drive impactful growth together. #GrowSouthCoast, #StrategicPlanning, #SCDC, #BusinessGrowth, #OrganizationalStrength
Founder, A. Hart Associates ~ Strategic business consultant helping leaders move their vision forward, faster.
Today I’m working with South Coast Development Council (SCDC) in beautiful Coos Bay, OR to craft their next strategic plan. SCDC is working to build a thriving and diversified business community on the Southern Oregon Coast by promoting and supporting businesses that provide quality jobs through responsible development. I’m excited because there is so much opportunity for economic development in this community. I have already been working closely with Executive Director Lexie Woodward, CEcD, PCED to analyze the opportunities and challenges facing the organization, and to identify what it will take to move from where SCDC is currently toward an ideal future. In our session with the board today, our focus will be on setting priorities by driving consensus around high-level focus areas and objectives that will serve the forward moment of the organization and community.

The Melting Pot Edinburgh did a phenomenal job of hosting a series of events in 23-24 on the theme of 'Bridging Communities'. The Team built connections with 33 community groups and hosted almost 350 people across five different events. Why did events work? 1. If you look at the video (gorgeously shot and edited) from their conference earlier in the year, you'll see the investment in creativity. Doing things with a bit of 'pzazz' and colour reaps rewards. 2. People want to cross-pollinate. In our algorithm-ed world, we want to take time to find people who are 'not like us' and learn from them. 3. Relationships were real. This wasn't a quick, 'Hi, you don't know me but can we borrow your community to look like we co-designed'. This was genuine investment and mutual benefit. 4. Behind every sleek event is a range of skilled professionals who make it look easy, and often glossy and slick. Among them were Helen Denny and Anna Brow. 5. Conversations weren't taken for granted. Facilitators were poised and ready to help people connect. Well, that's all lovely. Where next? Have a watch of the video, digest the report and please, please get in touch with the team if you are able to sponsor or partner the next iteration of events. The future is all about turning energy into action.... #CommunityDevelopment #SocialEnterprise https://lnkd.in/dbKraBbX https://lnkd.in/d_qndeec
