Architects are we doing enough? 💭 As architects, we have the power and responsibility to shape cities, yet our designs often marginalize the vulnerable, especially with rising homelessness in London. Hostile architecture—like spikes and sloped benches—excludes those in need, making public spaces unwelcoming. We must rethink our approach, creating inclusive, humane environments that support everyone. This means advocating for affordable housing, designing multifunctional public spaces, and ensuring our cities are socially responsible.
