#NEWS: The German Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck visited our new biomass power plant in Ingelheim today. By using renewable sources, the plant supplies up to 95% of our site's energy needs. This will save around 50,000 tons of CO₂ per year in the future. Together with the Advisory Board on Cat Diseases (ABCD) we proudly recognize Dr. Katharina Zwicklbauer (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München) with the 2024 Young Scientist Award.   Katharina's research on feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), a fatal disease caused by a feline coronavirus, that mostly affects young cats, made important contributions to the field of feline medicine. Just three years ago, there were no treatment options available. Now, there is a whole new product class that we still need to fully explore. In her controlled study, Katharina evaluated different oral formulations of these new antivirals and showed promising results on the clinical evolution and virological parameters. #LifeForward
