Conquering the Commute: How to Transport Your Marsh Buggy Excavator The mighty marsh buggy excavator, a marvel of amphibious engineering, tackles wetland challenges with ease. But when it's time to relocate this workhorse, traditional transportation methods don't quite cut it. Here's your guide to navigating the unique world of marsh buggy excavator transport: Understanding the Beast: Marsh buggies are wider and taller than standard excavators, often exceeding legal road dimensions. Their secret weapon? Pontoons! These buoyant structures allow them to operate in water, but pose a challenge on land. Disassembly Dance: For oversized marsh buggies, disassembly is key. The excavator body detaches from the pontoons, each becoming a separate oversized load. The excavator's bucket also gets the solo treatment, keeping the boom low during transport. Trailer Teamwork: Low-profile stepdeck trailers become your marsh buggy's chariot. These trailers accommodate the excavator's height, while flatbed trailers handle the disassembled components. Permitting the Journey: Oversized loads require permits. Partner with a transportation company experienced in navigating the bureaucratic maze. They'll handle permits, pilot cars (escorts required for oversize loads), and ensure smooth sailing through state restrictions. The Crane Connection: Reassembly at the destination is where the crane comes in. These heavy-lifting heroes carefully place the excavator body back on the pontoons, reattaching the bucket for another round of wetland domination. #MarshBuggy #ExcavatorTransport #OversizedLoad #WetlandEquipment #AmphibiousVehicle #PermitProcess #CraneLife #WaterworkWonders Bonus Tip: Consider consulting with a specialized heavy haul transport company. Their expertise can save you time, money, and a whole lot of headaches. https://lnkd.in/dJPpfqZf

Thumb Attachment: An excavator thumb attachment is a claw-like device that attaches to an excavator’s bucket. It allows the machine to grasp, lift, and transport materials as the thumb makes contact with the excavator bucket, much as a human hand uses its thumb to hold and move objects. In principle, an excavator thumb attachment is another lever that can be used in combination with the excavator’s bucket in order to pick up material like branches, brush, rocks etc. Working with a standard digging bucket leaves you slightly limited when it comes to being able to easily pick up and move objects or stacks of objects on the jobsite #themoreyouknow #kubota #kubotausa #thumbatttachment #excavator
