Grateful to Moss Adams for investing in its Latinx professionals and sending over 40 of us to attend the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) Convention, where we attended many workshops, heard inspiring stories, and met other amazing Latino/a professionals and students. I have never felt more inspired and energized to lead with my authentic "Latinidad!" A couple of key takeaways from the conference: * We are resilient! Your past experiences are your superpower! They provide you with a unique perspective and set of skills. Use those experiences as a motivation to change your narrative. * Instead of seeing yourself as "the only", see yourself as "the first". For example, "I am the first (FILL IN THE BLANK) in my office", instead of "I am the only (FILL IN THE BLANK)" in my office." This changes the perspective to a more optimistic one. Then, be a role model and pave the way for others through mentorship. #ALPFAConvention #LatinxLeadership #MossAdams

Empowering the Future Leaders! Today, our students engaged in a thought-provoking Mock Parliament session at Sky World School. They delved into the intricate workings of parliament, pondered over vital public issues, and formed their own opinions. It's inspiring to see our future leaders in action, learning about governance, and developing their civic awareness. #SkyWorldSchool #MockParliament #FutureLeaders #CivicEngagement"

Today, as Americans, let's take a moment to reflect on the essence of our nation. Through conflicts and hardships, America has endured and risen, but only when guided by the collective spirit of its people. True leadership emerges when 'We The People' unite, celebrating our diversity our hope and shared experiences. Let's remember that our country is defined by its people, not just by governance or politics. It's about our principles, thoughts, and actions. Amidst complexities, the core values that shaped our nation remain true. I recently revisited a 4th of July message created for a client, which reaffirmed the timeless ideals on which America was built. Thank you to LiveView Technologies for producing this impactful content that still resonates today. #CitySafety #LiveViewTechnologies #ComprehensiveSecurity #TotalSafety #FullCoverage #SecuritySolutions #UtahJazz #RealTimeIntegration #FastDeploymentSecurity #SecureWithLiveViewTechnologies #UtahMade #AmericanIdealism

I had an incredibly inspiring moment listening to Gov. Wes Moore, Maryland's first Black Governor in 246 years and the third African American elected Governor in U.S. history 🇺🇸, speak at the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDCHQ)’s annual conference in Baltimore this week. NMSDCHQ truly outdid themselves with this conference, centered around the theme "Close the Equity Gap." Every session I attended deeply resonated with me and planted seeds of change in my soul and mind that have already started to take root. Each day was meticulously curated, providing a wealth of information and fostering valuable connections. I'm proud to be a part of this council because they serve as a gateway for minority businesses to connect and network with corporate buyers. Keep pushing those boundaries on our behalf. I appreciate you for that. 😳It was truly a surprise to learn that Gov. Wes Moore had never run for any political office before running for Governor, and yet he emerged victorious. His journey is a testament to the power of determination, vision, and the belief in making a positive change. It's a reminder that it's never too late to step into the arena of entrepreneurship and create a lasting impact, even when you didn't think it was possible. He emphasized that the path to leadership and business ownership is unique for each of us, not defined by a linear trajectory but by our willingness to take the first step and the courage to keep moving forward. His accomplishments show what's possible when we set high goals and work diligently toward them. Being in the presence of such a trailblazer left me with a renewed sense of purpose and the belief that we can all make a difference. Let's continue to draw inspiration from those who break barriers and defy expectations. With determination and the courage to take that first step, we can all create meaningful change in our communities and beyond. I don't know about you, but I'm ready to take my business to the next level! Get ready, Get Ready, Get Ready… #BusinessGrowth #Leadership #Inspiration #nmsdc #NMSDCConference2023 #supplierdiversity #closetheequitygap #minioritybusinesses

Though #DEI is a persistent issue, #blackhistorymonth serves as a good time to reflect on the progress the #realestate sector has made in promoting diversity – and what else can be done to advance the cause. When a reporter with Multi-Housing News was looking for Black sources who have excelled in the industry and mentored others, we had the perfect suggestion: Leah Granderson, Head of DEI at TJ client Lendlease. Read the resulting Q&A in today's #TJTALK where Granderson provides insights including the better decision-making and financial outcomes realized by prioritizing DEI, how networking and mentorship benefit minority professionals, and the importance that intentional, top-down leadership has on making real estate an industry open to all: https://conta.cc/432CXtm
