We are faced with the urgent need for collaboration between social innovators, governments, and companies to tap into untapped opportunities for global economic growth. With the widening racial wealth gap projected to cost the United States $1.5 trillion in economic growth by 2028, a report from the Schwab Foundation's Global Alliance for Social Entrepreneurship outlines three scalable pathways to leverage diversity and foster economic prosperity: expanding markets, unlocking talent, and broadening networks. Each pathway offers innovative approaches to value creation while addressing systemic inequities at their core. As leaders in the philanthropic and social impact sectors, we must heed this call to action. By prioritizing racial and ethnic equity as a business imperative, we can drive sustainable economic growth, foster innovation, and build a more just and equitable society for all. #socialinnovation #economicequity

Really important milestone for us today at ChangemakerXchange, and we are buzzing to be launching our newest effort: "Changemakers for Democracy"! So many times conversations I'm having with our members and people in our network, whether about climate or education or any social or environmental issue, end up at the point of 'we need to fundamentally renew and transform our economic and democratic systems'. Through Changemakers for Democracy we aim to support and amplify the work of practioners whose work reimagines democracy and the economy in Europe. Think: post growth movements / citizen assemblies / collective ownership / innovative governance / new narratives and much more. ➡️ Note we are explicitly not looking just for 'founders / leaders' here but those who can be put forward to represent ideas, innovations, movements, and collectives. How can place-based collaboratives stay committed to equity in challenging contexts?   At Day 3 of Collective Impact Forum’s Annual Summit, we had an incredible plenary conversation on the challenges that place-based collaboratives are facing in regards to increasing anti-DEI backlash and other political and cultural headwinds. Some insights from the conversation:   💭 Cross-sector, place-based collaboratives are critical for helping communities to continue to center equity amidst these challenges. 💭 You cannot move population level change unless you address disparities. 💭 Local work across collaborative participants has to be relational. 💭 To advance equity, we have to be able to play both defense and offense. 💭 Cultural and narrative change work is essential in advancing toward equity.
