Founded in 2006, amid the lively debates of McDonald's or Subway (depending on who you ask), Silver Palm Technologies was born from the vision of Steve Smith and Tony Poffenberger. Their goal: to deliver customer-focused engineering services and products to both government and commercial sectors. Yesterday, we marked a significant moment as the BlackSignal team gathered to honor Steve, Tony, Lisa, and Chuck on their "semi-retirement." Their dedication and leadership have been the cornerstone of our success, shaping Silver Palm into what it is today. A heartfelt thank you to Steve, Tony, Lisa, and Chuck for their unwavering commitment and years of invaluable service. Here's to new beginnings and continued success for Silver Palm Technologies!

We believe hierarchical, bureaucratic organisations need to change. As an STFC Rebel team we have felt for a few years that we needed to capture ‘WHY’ we are passionate about supporting an organisation we love and have collectively worked with for 60years - STFC, in improving HOW we work. Future proofing us and being the first UK public sector body to crack the code, we are leaders in innovation after all! 🚀 Things are shifting… and we enjoyed being in conversation discussing what’s been achieved and hopefully inspiring more of our organisation to engage. With the support of Catalyst Consulting we have been rapidly developing the capability of our outstanding people to solve the frustrations that they face at work. The frustrations that prevent them doing a job they love, work that REALLY matters, work that is solving global challenges. Through our membership of the Corporate Rebels academy, it’s allowed us the opportunity to learn from the global leaders redesigning their workplaces, where they have unlocked the potential of everyone, delivering unprecedented results and have swathes of people waiting for opportunities to join their organisations. Making workplaces fun, doesn’t equate to designing a holiday camp, but an environment where people can undertake their best work - being exactly and unashamedly themselves. We are excited to see what 2024 brings on our evolving improvement journey. 🤩 Thanks to EVERYONE that is making a difference, it really matters. #makeworkfun #rebels #lovepeople
Yesterday was an exciting day as Jo, Jayne, and I were filmed for a promotional video on Corporate Rebels at STFC. We took the opportunity to share our journey and experiences with the Corporate Rebels Academy, discussing how we've integrated its principles into our work here at STFC. The video captures our passion for innovation and change, highlighting our commitment to fostering a culture of creativity and growth. There was lots of giggles 😂 and lots of talk of food and wine during the practice but we got there in the end! Can’t wait to see the end result. #rebels #stfc #change Jayne Price Joanne Brown

We are incredibly proud to reshare this inspirational post about Arthur, a 96-year-old member of the FitBees community at Community Housing. His story is a testament to the potential of every individual, regardless of age, to lead an active, fulfilling life. Arthur is not just staying fit with FitBees but is also pushing boundaries, creating innovations like the non-splash float, born out of his love for fishing. This is a perfect example of the power of FitBees, which goes beyond physical health to foster social connections, mental wellbeing, and personal development. FitBees, a UKRI Healthy Ageing Challenge & Innovate UK funded project that we at Tendertec are proud to lead and share with Hft, Community Housing, KYMIRA, Lynne Elvins & University of the West of England, is breaking down barriers for marginalised and underrepresented groups, providing an accessible, efficient, and beneficial platform for physical activity and community support. Tendertec's groundbreaking 'Hestia' heat sensors play a crucial part in this, measuring activity levels and patterns to provide personalised support. We believe in the transformative power of technology in social care settings, and Arthur's story is a shining example of this. His legacy stands as a symbol of resilience, passion, and the boundless possibilities that come with a healthy and active lifestyle through initiatives like FitBees. Arthur’s story is just one of many that showcase the immense value FitBees brings to our society. It's not just about personal fitness; it's about fostering a sense of community, breaking down barriers, and empowering individuals to live their best lives. FitBees bridges the gap between technology and social care, making fitness, social connections, and personal development accessible to all, irrespective of age or background. This is especially crucial for underrepresented and marginalised groups, who often face the most significant barriers to maintaining an active lifestyle. Moreover, FitBees is creating a ripple effect, positively impacting not just the individual participants but also their carers and the broader community. As participants engage in physical activities and socialise, they inspire others, contributing to a healthier, happier, and more connected society. If you're a community, care and housing provider, local authority, leisure centre, fitness, or sports provider interested in supporting underrepresented people to become and stay more active, we invite you to join forces with us. Let's work together to replicate the success of FitBees across the UK, creating a healthier, more inclusive society. Contact us at Tendertec to learn how you can be part of the FitBees movement. Let's continue to build the FitBees #community together, fostering #wellness, #inclusivity, and a better quality of life for all. #ArthurInspires #FitBees #Tendertec
