Experienced Financial Professional | Ensuring Your Security, Growing Your Wealth, & Helping You Achieve Financial Freedom | Proud to connect Military Veterans with lucrative & rewarding careers
Why I Hire Veterans: A Commitment to Our Nation's Heroes The threads of military service weave deeply through the fabric of my family! My husband, a proud Marine veteran, also dedicated his time to the Coast Guard Auxiliary. My son has embraced the call of duty in the Marine Reserves, while my son-in-law is currently facing the challenges of deployment with the OK National Guard/Army. Their sacrifices, commitment, and dedication constantly remind me of the immense value that military personnel bring to the table! Beyond personal ties, there are numerous reasons why I make a concerted effort to hire veterans: Dedication & Work Ethic: The military instills a strong sense of duty, responsibility, and commitment. When veterans commit to a task, they see it through, often going above and beyond. Leadership: Veterans have been trained to lead by example. They are skilled in team coordination, responsibility delegation, and achieving mission objectives. Problem-solving: Military training is all about adaptability. Veterans are often great at thinking on their feet and finding solutions even under pressure. Integrity: Honesty, trustworthiness, and strong moral principles are hallmarks of military service. In the business world, this translates to trustworthy employees who uphold the highest standards. Teamwork: Veterans understand the importance of working as a cohesive unit. They value each member's contribution and know how to leverage individual strengths for collective success. But above all, my drive to hire and support veterans stems from a deeply personal place. Assisting our nation's heroes in achieving financial freedom is not just a business strategy; it's a heartfelt commitment! By integrating them into the workforce, we're not only recognizing their invaluable skills but also offering a small token of gratitude for their unwavering service to our nation. If you're a veteran looking for opportunities, or if you know a veteran who might be interested, please reach out. Let's work together to create a brighter future for those who've given so much. #VeteransInBusiness #HireVeterans #SupportOurTroops #FinancialFreedomForHeroes #SoaringElite

Staffing Manager at Tellepsen | Marine Corps Veteran | Champion for the Construction Industry | Living With Intent
On day 4 of my #veteransday2023 series, I want to highlight some misconceptions I've heard from a lot of #transitioningmilitary when I promote the #constructionindustry to them. When talking to Veterans and Transitioning Military about construction, I often hear one of three things: "I don't wanna swing a hammer." "There's no money in construction." "That's not a career that offers growth." These is so much opportunity in this industry, and it is so often overlooked or misunderstood. Joseph Chris Partners Executive Search Veterans Talent Services offers consulting to both Veterans who want to learn more about opportunities in the construction industry, and for companies looking to build a strong strategy to attract and hire Veterans. Hit the link in the comments and schedule some time to connect with me if you'd like to learn more! #VeteransinConstruction #hireveterans

Talent Acquisition Partner | Healthcare Recruiter | AIRS Certified Recruiter | Talent Sourcer | Navy Veteran | Military Hiring Advocate | People & Culture | Connecting Incredible People to Amazing Careers in Healthcare
📰 Breaking news for employers participating in DOD SkillBridge and for any transitioning service members (Marine Corps) just announced: 🗞️The U.S. Marine Corps just announced cuts to the allotted time Marines can participate in the DOD SkillBridge program which will have an impact on service members as well as employers participating in DOD SkillBridge. 💭While this only impacts the Marine Corps for the time being, U.S. military branches continue to struggle with recruitment and retention and it may not be long before other branches follow suit. For any service members considering transitioning out in the next year or so, I would recommend connecting with these awesome veterans and employers that are tagged below who frequently volunteer their time to help service members ensure a smooth transition. Bonus points since most of them are actively hiring 😎. Created by Hire Our Heroes Veteran Job Board founder, Dan Caporale, National Hire a Veteran Day encourages employers all over the country to recruit and hire our nation’s veterans. Since JST was founded by an Air Force veteran, we recognize the competitive skills and impressive core values that former service members bring to the table. In fact, 50% of our team members are either veterans or active military members! According to the U.S. Department of Labor, about 200,000 military members retire or separate from the armed forces each year. We encourage employers to become involved with the many veteran hiring resources available including the Department of Labor’s VETS program, United States Department of Defense SkillBridge program, and Hiring Our Heroes to recruit our nation’s veterans who are transitioning into the civilian workforce. #hireaveteranday #veteranjobs #veterans #hireaveteran #teamJST #govcon #WOSB #SDVOSB #smallbusiness #womanowned #vetbiz #veteranownedbusiness #vetowned #vets

"This is a photo of me at the start of my military career. 30-ish (ahem 😊) years later, I find myself on a mission to help veterans as they leave or after they have left our #ArmedForces. #ExMilitary Servicemen and women often struggle when screening or interviewing as civilian employers either don’t understand their experience or expect a round peg for a round hole. #Employers – veterans will seldom be the perfect solution for the role you are looking to fill, but they will bring a super positive attitude and high standards and add value to your business. As a veteran myself, who has been in business for 15 years, I understand both sides of the coin." At @Hire a Veteran, we work with clients across the UK, to help them understand the transferable skills of veterans as well as the many other qualities they bring to the workplace. ➡️If you’re changing job or leaving the mob, we’d love to help. ➡️If you’re a business looking for an adaptable, driven person to join your team, we’d love to hear from you. #HireAVeteran #veterans #military #VeteranJobs #Opportunities

DIRECTOR, P&L MANAGEMENT Driving remarkable results through dynamic foresight, strategy, and leadership
Change the dialogue of transitions from service to industry… Just this morning a great colleague was talking about wanting to help make an impact in the military veteran transition to civilian space. I let her know a few things : 1: Military transition help has to change - United States Department of Defense has to update the transition resources and collaboration for service members This is not going to happen from within the DoD. We have to do it from the outside to make change inside. 2: The service member transition affects way more than just the service member - Focus on the entire family transition and resources The military family is a multiplier of the transitioning service member. Military spouses need help and advice. Military children need help and advice 3: Elevate the transition discussion Too often we only talk about transition from service to civilian. Military connected are so good at transition but have such a hard time to civilian. What about preparing them for career transitions. This changes the dialogue to support the next chapter and continuous evolution of career progression. This is a large problem that takes all of us working together American Corporate Partners (ACP) Student Veterans of America ZeroMils USO Hiring Our Heroes
