BAFFLED ON NATIONAL WAFFLE DAY🧇 As you might have already guessed... I was one of the many people who went overboard yesterday (19th July) to secure a waffle from The Belgian Waffle Co (under discounted prices 😋) A quick diversion - Have you heard about the concept of SUNK COST FALLACY ? When you do not wish to abandon a task because you have already invested a considerable amount of time, effort or money in it, you are said to fall into the trap of SUNK COST FALLACY. Well, this is exactly what I thought while standing in the queue for straight 20 minutes (Ab aae hai toh waffle leke hi jayenge)🫠 Little did I know that I would end up waiting for an hour to receive my order for 2 waffles only. Here are the key takeaways from yesterday's experience - 🧇ORDERS should be prepared by the team in the order as they are taken.Patiently waiting with order no. 210, I saw them deliver order no. 214 before mine.(Fun fact: Person with order no.199 was still waiting for her order) 🧇There was lack of coordination between the person taking orders and the one instructing the chefs.Staff should be given proper training to handle pressure effectively. 🧇 Taking into consideration,that I paid Rs 50 for rickshaw , the waffle costed me almost the same(Rs 100 50) You might think that going there must have been a total waste of time but honestly.... Maza toh aya😂🫶🏻 PS: I talked to so many people yesterday while waiting in the queue, ensuring that people secure their orders in the correct sequence and I must say....
