Business development @Vilikkala. Felt with a story. Our services are felt creation, textile lamination and roll cutting. Most importantly we excel in fulfilling circular ambitions.
Here is a reminder who we are and what we are about to do. Thanks for being part of my network here in LinkedIn and in business!
"Vilikkala is a company in Salo, Finland, founded by entrepreneurs Jari Toivonen and Hannu Tuomola. Operating under the same roof with a furniture manufacturer has offered the textile startup vast opportunities to study nonwoven materials using versatile techniques. Core services of Vilikkala include felt creation, textile lamination, and roll cutting. Most importantly, the company aids in realizing the circular economy ambitions of other companies concerning textile waste. In collaboration with Rester, Vilikkala develops non-woven felt products from mechanically opened textile fibers. The company is currently seeking to expand its operations to become a more significant part of the value chain, focusing on blended fibers." Closing the loop and creating new ones. 🤝 Anna Altner came back last week from the Rethinking Materials event feeling particularly inspired and energized after 2 days of insightful meetings, presentations, and discussions. The event focused on new materials and solutions with the potential to replace plastics and enhance #sustainability which aligns perfectly with Yangi's ambition: delivering a seamless and pain-free transition for brands and packaging producers to adopt our dry forming technology, Cellera, supporting them in achieving their #netzero targets, sooner rather than later. Here are her key takeaways from her time in #London: ✅Brands are showing significant momentum. ✅Innovative solutions are essential. ✅Collaboration within the value chain is vital for commercialization. ✅Addressing this complex challenge is not easy; industry and investors must collaborate to support startups and foster new innovations. 💛💭Thank you to the Rethinking Materials team for allowing Yangi's Founder founder to share her thoughts during the panel discussion on paper-based packaging, guided by Peter McGeough from Aptar alongside Romain Metivet from Cellulotech, Alex Pitsinos from Matrix Pack Group, Caroline Locre from @blueoceanclosures and William Connolly from Diageo

It is high time for companies to offer products that are developed under closed-loop conditions. This is especially true for industrial #ManufacturingCompanies. After all, no one can afford to ignore the imperative of the #CircularEconomy and continue to burden the planet at the current rate. 🌎 The transition to a circular economy affects all areas of business, be it innovation, research and development or product development. It is therefore important to encourage the development of products that can be easily repaired, reused, refurbished or recycled. This needs to be understood and embedded in the minds of employees. Seeing the bigger picture, companies can also benefit. For example, they are responding to consumer needs and filling a current market niche. This can mean more sales and a competitive edge. 💡 Here you can get more information and the complete study from our experts Hannah Mareen ZUEHLKE and Christian BOEHLER "What goes around, comes around – The circular economy in industrial manufacturing" to download: https://lnkd.in/eg5QKycA #RolandBerger
