Over-moulding is an exceptionally versatile process that produces formidable bonds and is very applicable in cases where polymer shafts form part of a device or system. Medical instruments designed for intricate procedures often demand the presence of unyielding shafts and sheaths. These components are indispensable for ensuring high column strength and resistance against kinking and compression. Over-moulding, when directly applied to these catheter shafts, revolutionises the conventional bonding methods, replacing them with efficient thermo-bond solutions. The outcome is the creation of robust assemblies in a single manufacturing operation, a process that is not only cost-effective but also seamlessly compatible with large-scale production. Synecco collaborates closely with our clients to provide innovative solutions for an array of medical devices that necessitate the advantages of over-moulding. Our team Our team have extensive expertise and experience in the specification, development and ultimate manufacture of over-moulded shaft assemblies. #Overmoulding #Innovation #Injectionmoulding #Verticalinjectionmoulding #Precision #Engineering #Medicaldevices #Contractmanufacturing #Polymers #Medicaldevicemanufacturing

#masterbatches are generally used in manufacturing of #medicaldevices to color or enhance the properties of the plastic materials during the manufacturing process. When using a masterbatch consider that masterbatch is also part of the plastic in medical devices. It's important to test the masterbatch for biocompatibility in its "as-molded" state. Changing masterbatches may impact #biocompatibility qualifications. For medical devices, generally the total color by weight should not exceed 1%. This limitation may be in place to ensure that the introduction of masterbatches does not compromise the properties or safety of the medical device. #syringes #medicaldisposables #injectionmoulding #additives
