Delighted to celebrate the energetic, talented and hard-working life science summer interns during #Nationalinternship today! Connecticut has a longstanding legacy of advances in drug development to benefit humanity -- these are our future leaders who will alleviate suffering from disease. We are grateful to our guest speaker Charlie (5 years old!) and his parents Melissa and Matt who taught the interns about the importance of rare disease research for conditions such as SMA! We were inspired by Charlie and will work hard to advance our drug development programs. Also, thanks to Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, Yale Ventures, Connecticut Innovations, Yale School of Medicine, University of Connecticut, Yale University, CT Economic and Workforce Development, Life Sciences Sprints in CT, and Governor Ned Lamont for fostering such a robust life-sciences and biotech ecosystem in Connecticut!
