Today is 𝗔 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆. At MLC, we are fighting cancer by gearing up for our annual participation in Pedal the Cause. 🎗️   Proceeds raised for the annual cycling challenge goes to cancer research through St. Louis Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids, where Mississippi Lime is headquartered. Research projects funded by the cause have the potential to benefit cancer patients around the world.   To date, our team has raised $550,000 for the cause. LinkedIn friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, I’ve decided to lace up my running shoes again this month, embrace the sweat, and run 100 miles in July for a cause close to my heart: Cancer Research UK (CRUK), with a specific focus on early diagnosis as in most cases the earlier we diagnose Cancer, the greater our chance of beating it. Coming up to the end of week two, I'm on 29 miles, but I'll be past 50 by the end of the week and on track to hit 100 and beyond! I'm proud to say that I'm not doing this challenge alone. I'm joined by some absolute legends from work: Rob Winter, Sophie Andrews, Catherine Gwilliam, Ben Leslie, Garry Hughes, Nick Loxton & Olly Simpson. Why 100 miles? Because running 101 seemed excessive...... My Goal? To raise £500. That's £5 from 100 people or £10 from 50 people, or, well, you get the idea.
