#HireRight #TrainRight #TreatRight Training is my jam!

This is a long post! But it's important for me to say this out loud. June 6th my partner had spinal surgery after many years of poor health and debilitating Osteoarthritis. But I was grateful he was at UCSF under the care of the esteemed Dr. Sigurd Berven. His stay was 5 days longer then it should have been due to complications. But I was grateful for his quality of care and for my friend in the Bay Area who opened her home to me. I took a long walk in San Francisco every day and I was grateful for that walk and the diverse community of people I chatted with. During that time, my refrigerator went out and when I arrived home my food was rotten and my house smelled like death. But I was grateful that my neighbor came to my house and took the refrigerator to the dumps without being asked. I was grateful that another friend provided a temporary refrigerator immediately. I was grateful my sons delivered that refrigerator the next day and that feeding us would not be a problem. I was grateful that my team at work checked in on me and the outpouring of love and kindness we received from our friends and family. I was grateful that my niece arrived with a commode, a walker and a shower chair without being asked. On Monday my sons were evacuated due to a 5000 acre wildfire in their community. I hurried to my son's home to pick up pets and medications since they were out of town. I was so grateful to get there before the roads were blocked. As the the last two weeks wind down, you might think that I am ready to spontaneous combust, but oddly I am at peace. It was difficult BUT we did it! I try every day to accept my challenges as lessons and to learn those lessons. To be better and do better because of those lessons. We should all remember to see the light at the end of the tunnel and always head towards that light. Be grateful for the small wins and never lose your sense of humor on this wild ride we call life. I'm back to work on Monday and looking forward to that sense of normalcy. Be Grateful. It's good for your soul. #keeponkeepingon #smallwins

I'm so sorry Betsy that your husband was challenged with his health. Your gratitude for all the good that was happening around you is so beautiful. Your attitude kept more good things coming your way for you and your hubby. Our friends, like Patty said, are like angels when we need them the most, and I know that is the kind of friend you are Betsy. all the love and healing, Shelley Marenka ❤️

I understand completely (or almost) Roger took a bad fall on June 5th, broke a bone up by his shoulder and surgeon says it’s too invasive for surgery. He’s in a sling and it’s painful. The two days we were evacuated took a toll on him. Thank God we got to go home. He’s happy to be home and resting. We are managing and we are Grateful!
