#PrideMonth is a time to honor the history and achievements of the LGBTQIA community and raise awareness of the ongoing struggles its members are facing. This month we hosted an internal discussion on supporting the LGBTQIA community and addressing its members’ #healthcare challenges. Our colleagues also participated in a virtual volunteer event with Micro Rainbow, OUTMemphis and Benevity, learning tips and tools to foster meaningful conversations about inclusion and become an everyday ambassador for love and acceptance. We’re committed to promoting inclusivity, diversity and equity, as these values drive innovation and collaboration, leading to better outcomes for our patients. Learn more at https://bit.ly/3KbrNtS.

Help us redesign NSW Public Hospitals’ built environment to be inclusive for the LGBTQIA community. https://lnkd.in/d5_-Bi25 Join us for a workshop to reimagine NSW Public Hospitals’ built environment as inclusive spaces for the LGBTQIA community. This could be outside or indoor spaces from gardens to waiting rooms. At Today, we have rigorous care and safety planning in place. This includes trauma-informed care that works from a strength-based model and an intersectional lens. The lead facilitator is a self-identified, queer, transgender, person of colour from a faith background. They are an expert in facilitating workshops with lived experiences, specifically LGBTQIA communities. Who are we looking for? We are looking for people from the LGBTQIA community specifically Transgender and Intersex people with lived experience of NSW public hospitals. This is a paid opportunity to rethink how NSW Public Hospitals can create spaces for, and by LGBTQIA people. How will it work? One 4-hour session will be held between 1-5pm, 12-15 June. Each participant will be remunerated $160, via Giftpay. Find out more and register at https://lnkd.in/d5_-Bi25 This research is being run by Today in partnership with NSW Health Infrastructure. #LGBTQIA #healthinfrastrucure #builtenvironment #codesign

At North West Rubber, we believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and respected. This Pride Month, we’re celebrating the LGBTQIA2 community and reaffirming our commitment to our core value: respect for all. While Pride Month is a time for celebration, it is also an opportunity to reflect on the ongoing challenges faced by the LGBTQIA2 community. Despite significant progress, many individuals still encounter discrimination, violence, and legal inequalities. In many parts of the world, LGBTQIA2 people continue to fight for basic human rights and acceptance. Advocacy is a crucial component of Pride Month. It serves as a reminder that the fight for equality is far from over. From supporting LGBTQIA2 organizations to participating in advocacy efforts, everyone can play a role in promoting equality and justice. Today, we speak out to show our support, spread awareness, and advocate for those whose voices are not heard. #PrideMonth #RespectForAll #Inclusion #Diversity #LoveIsLove
