Part 1 of 2 🌐 Today’s X space dialogue, part of the global Youth in Evaluation Week, included voices from across the world, offering insights on career advancement in evaluation. Here are three takeaways that I found interesting: 1. Field Experience: Claudia Olavarria, Arushi Pankaj Dubey and Dulmina Chamathkara emphasized the irreplaceable learning that happens in the field. 2. Career Diversity in Evaluation: Jozef Vaessen reminded YEEs of the many career options within evaluation. Ana Erika Lareza pointed out opportunities to pioneer in the field, while Olivia M. shared how attending events from across the world helped her understand the evaluation ecosystem. 3. Career Advancement Strategies: Alena Lappo noted that effective strategies vary depending on your specific circumstance and stage of your career. Nsanshya Faith Chilupula shared the 4 As framework to grow your career: Aptitude (developing skills), Attitude (maintaining a positive mindset), Altitude (staying informed about the evaluation space), and Action (seizing opportunities). #Eval4action
