VISION FOR AMERICA 1. Restoring Our Constitutional Republic and Limiting Government: I believe in a government that is both bound by the Constitution and limited in its power. 2. Safeguarding Unalienable Rights: I believe in protecting the unalienable rights of all people. People are sovereign by nature and our rights come from a Creator and Natures God. 3. Ensuring Government Accountability: There must be accountability for judicial and prosecutorial misconduct. It is time to face the harms inflicted by the government, including the enduring drug war and fair housing violations 4. Abolish Prisons: Abolish the punitive prison warehousing model and implement transformative justice, a restorative model that seeks to heal and restore. 5. Energizing 'Made in America' - Green-Collar Jobs: Resurrect domestic manufacturing and expanding green-collar jobs that rejuvenate our industries. This not only ensures economic prosperity but also safeguards our environment. www.awj2024.com

The Fight for Freedom, Independence, and Liberty – It Continues Today From 1775 to 1783, liberty revering, independent minded, ordinary people accomplished an unheard of, unimaginable feat—a revolution which defeated the globe’s mightiest army and forced that world’s greatest empire to negotiate. Then, in 1787, many of those same revolutionaries created something exceptional: a Constitution that rejected violence as a means to change government and codified the most important four-letter word in all humanity—VOTE. Much like the long-ago English Monarchy that retained power, controlled policies, and ignored British colonial subjects, America’s current government holds power, controls the agenda, and ignores the will of the people. Therefore, I ask America’s freedom loving, independent thinking, everyday citizens to conduct an extraordinary deed—a voter revolution to defeat mighty politicians and force political parties to negotiate on behalf of the people instead of retaining their own self-interests. To succeed, Americans must not only vote, but also VOTE AGAINST every incumbent and VOTE FOR every challenger. At the very least, go the polls on Election Day and in that booth write down your own name or mine. ## A Just Cause, Humbled Heart: Reflecting on William Wilberforce and the Slave Trade In the annals of history, some figures stand out not for wielding power, but for wielding their conscience. William Wilberforce, a man who dedicated his life to dismantling the abhorrent slave trade, exemplifies this brand of courage. His unwavering pursuit of justice, even in the face of immense opposition, offers a profound lesson in **serving with humility**. C.S. Lewis, a writer who often delved into themes of morality, reminds us: *"Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of yourself less."* Wilberforce didn't embark on his crusade for personal gain or glory. He saw the inherent evil of the slave trade and felt compelled to act. Micah 6:8 instructs us to "do what is right, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God." Wilberforce's dedication to ending the slave trade embodied this virtue. He **did what was right** by fighting injustice, **loved mercy** by advocating for the oppressed, and **walked humbly** by focusing on the cause, not himself. Wilberforce's fight was long and arduous. He faced ridicule, opposition from vested interests, and the seemingly insurmountable task of changing deeply entrenched societal norms. Yet, he persevered, driven by his unwavering belief in the inherent dignity of every human being. His humility allowed him to collaborate with others, build coalitions, and navigate the political minefield to achieve his goal. **True leadership isn't about self-aggrandizement, but about inspiring others to a greater purpose.** Wilberforce's unwavering commitment to justice served as a beacon for those who shared his convictions. He didn't seek personal accolades; his focus remained on the enslaved people yearning for freedom. William Wilberforce's legacy is a testament to the transformative power of **humility in the face of injustice**. He reminds us that even a single voice, fueled by conviction and a clear sense of purpose, can bring about monumental change. **#WilliamWilberforce #Humility #Leadership #Abolition**

Freedom and Democracy: America was founded on a dream of freedom, One that has yet to come true. It was freedom for some, Freedom for the few. Until we, The people rose up and came together. From the underground railroad, To standing Rock. From Stonewall to Selma. We pushed America, To that dream of freedom again. And again and again and again. And they’ve always been those, Who use fear and division, To cling, to power. Now once again, you are threatening to take away our freedoms, To control our own bodies, to vote and have the wheel of people prevail. To love who we love. Progress often seems impossible. The truth is, we decide what’s possible. You decides what’s possible. We can build a country, Where all of us are free to thrive. A place of equality, justice and liberty are real. And someday, When the next generation, Ask what we did in this moment. To protect our freedoms, We will be able to say, Everything we could. #VoteDemocrats2024
