Director Shi Wenyuan's team recently published an academic report in European Radiology (Q1, IF=5.9,) "Safety and efficacy of microwave ablation for symptomatic benign thyroid nodules in children”.   In this report, the reduction rate of thyroid nodules by microwave ablation treatment reached 85.03%, while the technical effectiveness is shown to be 91.2%, and thyroid function is unaffected by microwave ablation treatment.   The result shows that microwave ablation is an effective method for the treatment of thyroid nodules in children, which is minimally invasive, safe and effective. This study evaluated the image quality and dose of 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐞-𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 (CBCT-A) and compare them to 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 (DR) for 𝐎𝐀 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬. 🦴 Dr. Boudabbous and her team analyzed 32 cases of patients who underwent CBCT-A or DR for OA diagnosis.
