Knowing the depth of strategic management is more important than ever in a world where every choice can lead to success. George William, a proud graduate of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya's MM Strategic Management program, describes his interesting journey and the priceless insights he learned. George spent his time at Prasetiya Mulya immersed in the world of strategic management, learning to handle difficult choices with a solid grasp of the guiding principles. He explains how, whether it was assessing investment prospects or advising friends on business projects, his education became a pillar of strength and helped him to make judgments. His Prasetiya Mulya education gave him the abilities to critically examine events and approach situations with a critical eye, ensuring that every decision was supported by sound logic and statistical analysis. He has used these abilities to lead corporate diversifications and evaluated the value of significant acquisitions. But the journey was not just about acquiring analytical skills. George emphasizes the nurturing environment at Prasetiya Mulya that instilled in him values of caring, humanity, and integrity. It taught him to balance the pursuit of profit with a deep-seated respect for human values, encouraging a spirit of non-discrimination and fostering a sense of humility and compassion. George thinks back on the times when he could confidently voice his thoughts in professional situations, supported by the information and analytical skills he acquired during his studies, and his heart swells with pride. He acknowledges the gratification of being able to make arguments that are supported by the facts, even when speaking with policyholders in critical situations. George's adventure has inspired you in any way? Enter the opportunities-filled world at Prasetiya Mulya. Let's compete! #StrategicManagement #BusinessInsights #Leadership #PrasetiyaMulya #BusinessEducation #CareerJourney #InspiringJourney #SuccessJourney #PrasetiyaMulyaAlumni #CareerInspiration

A heartfelt thank you to our visiting faculty and an industry stalwart Mr. Nitin Jain for his guidance and expertise that has honed our decision making skills by exploring through different market dynamics in much broader prospects. I must thank my batchmates….. Prashant Pai Mayank Bhatia Pratik Salve Rahul Chudasama Rahul Tiwari Dhaval Makwana Dhyey Ashar Raghav Venkataraman for their involvement in enriching discussions, giving various dimensions to a case and solving them. I am elated to be one of the Forward Champions, but I am animatedly exhilarated to be part of the Forward Volunteer Facilitators in McKinsey & Company’s Forward Program. We are a team of high-performing professionals from different parts of the world. This amazing opportunity has afforded me the privilege to have delivered, over 130 hours of Workshops and Webinars that impacted close to 10,000 participants from over 70 countries in the world, along with the other 20 Forward Champions you see in this photo (Congrats, my fellow Forward Champions!). This makes me more excited to do even more in the months ahead. The lessons we shared touched on leadership, problem solving, communication, and design thinking, among others. The Forward Program is a brain child of McKinsey & Company which focuses on critical leadership, business, and digital skills that are relevant and transferable across industries and roles. Forward is available across Africa, the Middle East, Pakistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan and helps young people develop new ways of thinking, boost their confidence, and learn to lead with purpose. The Forward Program by McKinsey & Company is helping me live my dream of positively impacting the lives of other young people across the globe as I co-facilitate sessions and tell stories that give insights and inspiration to young professionals around the world. Having been exposed to leadership and transformative learning opportunities early on in life, I am grateful that I have a lot to share for the benefit of other young people in their life journey. It gives me great joy to share the things I have mastered, but even greater joy to take on new challenges to lead and inspire others in their journey, as I make mine as well. The Forward Program has been of immense benefit to my career as a lawyer, by helping me maintain a structured approach to problem-solving, and applying better communication techniques. I have also been able to practice empathy and design thinking better, with so much results to show for it. I am glad to be a Fellow of the McKinsey & Company Forward Program. So, cheers to greater days of learning and development; cheers to attaining bigger professional and business successes; and cheers to more opportunities for global impact. Student @ Aspire Leaders Program | NextGen Leaders Alum @ Do Well Do Good | Organizer @ MMPride | Member @ myGwork | LGBTQIA | Advocate | Leadership | Project & Event Management | Alum @ USTè | Higher Education
I'm beyond glad to share that I just attended another #informative and #fruitful #session for Do Well Do Good NextGen Leaders Program. Today, I had the privilege to #learn #slidemaking methodology from Cécile Maurisset, Associate Partner at Do Well Do Good and a former McKinsey & Company Business Analyst. Just like before, I would like to extend my deepest #gratitude and #appreciation to Nancy Huang who moderated the discussion and to Cécile Maurisset for spending some of her invaluable time to teach us more about #consulting and #project slides usually used in McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, and Bain & Company. It was also great to see Debosmita Bhowmick, our Global Head for Student Leadership Programs, Apsara Prabhakar, our Head of Alumni Engagement & Senior Program Manager, and Minati Panda, our Programme Manager, who joined the session. In this #analyst training session, I gained practical #skills and a deeper #understanding on how to properly use #slidemaking methodology, particularly #learning the core elements of a #slide, the process of #crafting a slide, and the common mistakes that I must take note of and fix. Here are some #keytakeaways: 1. There are many good reasons to make #slides such as its ubiquity, convenience, and simplicity. 2. Each slide has its #components and following this clear structure would make it easy to craft them. 3. It is imperative to remember that people read a slide from top to bottom and left to right so the most important #element shall be put on the top corner. 4. To create #value to our work, we must find data from different #sources that are globally accepted, combine #information in a logical way, and challenge what we have read to synthesize good message(s). 5. The most important thing is to articulate all these things together. 6. When we think of what "recent" is in terms of #sources, we must remember that recent depends on the evolution frequency of a specific topic, area, or expertise. 7. Reconcile what you expect to find and what you actually find. We also had the #opportunity to help Cécile identify what's wrong with two slides and how to make it better. It was a very fun activity that gave me so many realizations on the areas that I need to improve on when making a presentation. In essence, a slide has elements and each element has roles and all of those are important. There's still two more #sessions: (1) to learn from our Founder & CEO Sebastien Frendo next week and (2) a #meeting with my #peers who are from different parts of the #world which I'm very excited about. #dowelldogood #nextgenleadersprogram #professionaldevelopment #corporate #consulting #leadership #skillsdevelopment #globalimpact #youngprofessionals #universitystudents

Our programmes offer a profound opportunity for cross-cultural exploration. Nadia Iskandar van Wensveen, MBA graduate from the Amsterdam Business School, touches on this aspect as she reflects on the course that we designed for her and 61 MBA colleagues – an integral part of their curriculum. "Coming from a place like Malaysia, the idea of needing a VUCA approach and plans B, C, and D were not foreign to me – the way that people think, and the way people do business is something that I'm familiar with." Nadia's keen observations underscore the depth of understanding that emerges when diverse cultures intersect. It is more than recognising similarities; it is about delving into the shared ethos that underpins business strategies in different parts of the world. Cross-cultural awareness is one of the leadership competencies cultivated in our learning processes. Nadia describes how Comersion’s learning approach impacted her experience. "Many of us were used to thinking solution-first or coming up with a hypothesis and then finding a way to backtrack the insights to meet that hypothesis. But being encouraged to absorb information and try not to solve the problem immediately allowed us to engage with the problem in a much deeper way.” Our programmes go beyond the conventional. They are transformative journeys, where cultural awareness and shared knowledge pave the way for a brighter, more interconnected future.
