Here’s a look back at all the fun we had during Volunteer Month in April! Employees participated in nine service projects, three community partner fairs, and a state-wide canned food display contest. YOUR HARVEST HOUSE was the recipient of the canned food donations. Thank you to everyone who volunteered. 🎉

All policy should be made through a childhood lens.
When we invest in children, we all win💚 That was the message, loud and clear, from the UK’s five largest children’s charities at last month’s political party conferences. Together as a coalition, we hosted panels, briefings and events to ensure that our political leaders prioritise the needs of babies, children and young people. We’re calling for change - so children growing up in the UK are happier, safer and they each have the chance to reach their potential. Make their voices heard. In the UK, there are about 800,000 identified young carers and 1.7 million children in England with long-term health conditions face a heightened risk of mental health challenges, academic struggles, and missed educational opportunities. This can result in long-term social isolation, wellbeing issues and lack of opportunities in adulthood that affects the whole of society. So why are young people's needs overlooked, especially when they are vulnerable? Why are local youth zones, essential to ensure safe spaces for children and young people who don't have that at home or school, massively underfunded? Why do local authorities and schools fail to provide sufficient support and especially mental health support to children and young people living with challenging health conditions or difficult situations at home? Because we want answers and actions taken, Renaissance Foundation supports #ChildrenAtTheTable campaign. Sign the petition below.
Ahead of the upcoming general election, the UK’s five leading children’s charities – Action for Children, Barnardo's, The Children's Society, the National Children's Bureau and NSPCC – have come together. Supported by more than 130 organisations from the voluntary and community sectors, we want to make sure the next government has a plan to make decisions for babies, children and young people and put Children at the Table. Take action. Sign the petition: https://bit.ly/3Su1UdK
