When I worked at Cisco Systems, the CEO Chuck Robbins shared a dream he had, in a company-wide quarterly meeting, that influenced him to make a giant decision. The dream and the subsequent investment were related to addressing homelessness in the Bay Area. The dream helped him make a connection between his personal life and an opportunity to make a significant, positive impact in the community using his skills and resources. The way we meet and perceive the world is largely informed by our subconscious mind and conditioned patterns. It's a good idea then, to learn how to listen to, see, and notice our own programming and also learn how to heal, choose, and transform to a new way of being. Think of it as deleting old, outdated programs and upgrading the operating system that is you. Learning to invoke dream states and navigate the symbols, energies, and revelations there is an advanced track towards living and leading a conscious life. Many scientific discoveries have been made through dreams. Since dreams operate beyond the limitations of space and time, they can open us up to possibilities that we don't naturally access in ordinary states of consciousness. In this way, they can also help us connect the dots and experience a different perspective, the bigger picture, and innovative ideas and solutions. One of many powers of dreams is that they allow what was previously unseen to emerge into our awareness. What's revealed might not always be comfortable, but it will always have information for our growth and evolution. ...if you know how to work with dreams and dream states.
