PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN), Indonesia’s first private satellite company, has entered into a collaboration with Elena Geo Tech, a navigation-based manufacturing company in Bengaluru, India, to develop a satellite navigation system in Indonesia. Representatives from both companies signed an MoU at the India Space New Congress in New Delhi, India. The system to be developed will include positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) aimed at the transportation services sector, air and sea navigation, and defense. By applying satellite navigation in Indonesia, all sectors that require and use PNT will benefit from accurate positioning, speed, direction, and timing, resulting in high precision and efficiency. CelcomDigi and SES Satellites sign MoU to explore MEO satellite connectivity services across Malaysia CelcomDigi Berhad and SES inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on a strategic partnership to explore providing satellite connectivity using SES’s Medium-Earth-Orbit (MEO) and Geosynchronous Equatorial Orbit (GEO) satellites for businesses and communities in Malaysia.  Under this MoU, CelcomDigi, through its subsidiaries, will collaborate with SES to explore the development of a local gateway for Satellite Communication (SatCom) services in Malaysia. 💡 How Starlink Works 💡 A few days ago, all of us heard about Qatar Airways Launching the World’s First Boeing 777 STARLINK-Equipped Flight " World’s first Starlink equipped Boeing Widebody 777 " at a height of around 10 KMs. 📃 This is not the first cooperation for #Starlink with an Air flight company, there is also #HawaiianAirlines which All Hawaiian transpacific A330 and A321neo aircraft, including the international planes, are now equipped with Starlink internet service. So let's understand some lessons from this amazing cooperation. 💡 Starlink is a constellation of thousands of satellites that orbit the planet much closer to Earth, at about 550km, and cover the entire globe. Because Starlink satellites are in a low orbit #LEO, latency is significantly lower—around 25 ms vs 600 ms from the #GEO. 💡 Starlink internet broadband works by sending information through the vacuum of spaces. 💡 Starlink can be for #personal uses like residential areas and a #business like this cooperation. 💡 Satellite internet uses a five-part relay system starting from your mobile or computer, then the modem/router which translates data to facilitate communication between your device and the satellite dish, then the satellite #dish (one at the customer side, bigger one at the other side to connect you to the internet) and finally the #Satellite in Space itself which in this case needs thousands of Starlink satellites are needed to deliver the same coverage area as two or three traditional satellites. 💡High-Speed Internet In Flight - Download per Terminal 40-220 Mbps - Upload per Terminal 8-25 Mbps - Latency Less than 99 ms Now, #Starlink is connecting more than 4M people with high-speed internet across 100 countries, territories, and many other markets.
