Dear network, exciting news: I am happy to announce that I will be speaking at the 11th “Elektromobilproduktionstagen” (Electromobility Production Days - EPT) in Aachen. The EPT is the annual specialist conference and trade show on exciting topics related to electromobility. On October 25th and 26th, 2023 we will exchange views on the current challenges in the production technology of e-mobility components and the possibility of expanding our expertise in Europe. The fuel cell as a core component of electromobility will be examined in detail in the session "Fuel Cell Component Production" 💧. How can we successfully combine ecology and economy in our future mobility and which technological trends can give European manufacturers competitive advantages? We will answer these and other questions together at the EPT. The event is organized by PEM RWTH Aachen University, Fraunhofer-Einrichtung Forschungsfertigung Batteriezelle FFB, and Campus Forum and takes place in the business and event area of the Aachen Tivoli. I am really looking forward to entering into an exciting dialogue with many interested participants. Let's shape the future of electric mobility and hydrogen economy together! 👉 Curious? 💡We're powering the future of #emobility with SCAPE! 🔋 🚗 We're proud to be part of SCAPE - Powering e-mobility. Together with 8 other innovation-focused partners, we've embarked on a 4-year journey to redefine #electricvehicle (#EV) technology. 🔌SCAPE's mission? To completely change the way #powerconverters for EVs are designed. We're not just making incremental changes, we're rethinking the #powertrain architecture from the ground up. By developing a new, standardised and modular approach, coupled with cutting-edge control systems, we're setting a new standard for the EV industry. 🔋Traditional electric vehicle powertrain systems are due for an upgrade, and SCAPE is here to help. We're addressing the current lack of uniformity in the design of EV power conversion systems and streamlining the process across different vehicle models. It's not just about innovation, it's about making EVs more accessible and efficient for everyone. 🏎️ The result? A more cost-effective EV powertrain and a significant performance boost for the next generation of EV power electronics. Stay tuned as we shift into a more sustainable, more powerful future with SCAPE! 🌱 #ISINNOVA #SCAPE #ElectricVehicles #Innovation #Sustainability #FutureMobility #EUMobility #PowerElectronics #NextGenEVs
🤠 We are still ''recovering" from our 3rd General Assembly! A 2-day online event to touch base on project activities and milestones approaching in the year ahead. ⚡The headline news is that SCAPE's switching-cell-based #powerconverter prototype is slowly coming to life... 🔜 Looking forward to discussing SCAPE's progress with Joao Duarte Miranda and CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency very soon! 🙏 Thank you for the chat, Scapers! Without #batteries, no future. At least not a climate-neutral future. The Netherlands is collaborating with #Germany on education, research, and developments on the next generation of batteries. The Dutch Twente region forms the connecting link in cross-border cooperation with the Nord-Westphalia region. This is why the University of Twente is happy to host the Battery Days on 9 November, where this Dutch-German cooperation is on the agenda. Rutger van Poppel, Program Manager BCC-NL, is one of the speakers that day: "By connecting all stakeholders in the Netherlands and linking them with complementary partners across borders, we can stimulate innovation needed to face global challenges. Such cooperation and joint innovation are necessary for the valorization of knowledge and the growth of our promising Dutch battery industry." The Battery Competence Cluster - NL is organizing this two-day event in cooperation with Twente Board, the MEET Institute Battery Research Center of the University of #Münster, and the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Battery Cell Production FFB. The Battery Day on the 9th of November will take place at the University of Twente (Enschede) and on the 10th of November at MEET and FFB in Münster. Connecting theoretical and AI predictions to the process of synthesis is one of the most pressing problems in materials science today. Thanks to the leadership of my colleagues Amalie Trewartha and Steven Torrisi, and the hard work of our Comms and AMDD teams, TRI is announcing SARC, a DARPA-style challenge on connecting theoretical predictions to synthesis procedures. It's a unique opportunity to collaborate with TRI and constructively compete with other materials research community members to help solve the problem of predictive inorganic synthesis. You can find more information on the proposal and review process here: https://lnkd.in/gXbn3H7X.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Synthesis Advanced Research Challenge (SARC) at the Toyota Research Institute. This new initiative marks a significant step forward in our commitment to bridging the gap between AI-driven predictions and real-world material synthesis. The transition from theoretical materials to practical applications is a complex process that has traditionally taken years. With SARC, our goal is to expedite this process, enhancing the development of technologies crucial for clean energy advancements, such as electric vehicle batteries. We invite leading researchers from academia and national laboratories to collaborate and contribute their innovative ideas. We particularly encourage applications from early-career scientists eager to make an impact. For more information and to participate, please visit https://lnkd.in/gaFar62Q. The deadline for submissions is June 1, 2024. Join us in shaping the future of material science. https://lnkd.in/gqA9E4jV
