But with the right approach, you can turn it into an opportunity to shine. Here are a few tips from my own experience that might help you ace that call. First, research is your best friend. Understand the company's values, recent news, and their position in the market. For instance, did you know that the UK insurance industry is expected to grow by 3.5% this year? (Source: ABI). Having this knowledge not only shows your interest but also helps you tailor your responses to align with the company's goals. Next, practice makes perfect. Rehearse common interview questions and your responses. Focus on your achievements and how they relate to the role you're applying for. Remember to have examples ready that demonstrate your problem-solving skills and adaptability - key traits in the insurance industry. And don't forget to prepare some insightful questions to ask your interviewer, showing your genuine interest in the role and the company. Finally, set the stage for success. Choose a quiet, comfortable space for the call, free from distractions. Keep your CV and notes handy, but don't rely on them too heavily - you want to sound natural and confident.
