I’m thrilled that Decathlon is included in the very first edition of TIME Magazine’s ‘World Most Sustainable Companies’. Our commitment to acting responsibly for both people and the planet is part of our DNA. I know that this will mean a lot to many of my teammates. It reflects the hard work put into our sustainable and responsible business practices. We know that the issue at hand has major implications not just for us as a business, but for humanity at large. For 2 years now, we have succeeded at decoupling growth from our CO2 emissions, and our commitment is net zero by 2050. This is only the beginning. This recognition does not mean ‘job done’, but will instead act as motivation for the actions we take in the future. Thank you to Time Magazine for establishing a benchmark for transparency and accountability within the corporate world. Decathlon should be the reference for all others companies in sustainability matters. I can see that more and more companies are going that way but they still also are confronting with some prices issues. A big bravo to all Decathlon teams which makes it realizable with new solutions, new challenges... We all know that's It's a big challenge, a lot of effort but I'm 100% sure we can make it as we have now some companies offering new ideas, new solutions....
