Now this is workspace innovation. Clearly has a cost to it, but no more than other faulty office remodels. Workspace design matters more now than ever; if I’m going to justify the cost of going into the office there has got to be a little more upside than an old cubical. Some great insight again straight from our own internal growth at Deloitte.

😊 This year, Miquel Àngel Julià Hiero, Concept Architect, our Design and Marketing Director, has participated in the trend report "The New Habitat 25/26", as an expert in RETAIL, HOSPITALITY and WORKPLACE. After a first presentation session at ELISAVA Madrid, on June 19th we enjoyed the presentation of the report detailing the new trends in WORKPLACE at the Bernadí Hub in Barcelona. It has also been presented in Bilbao and the sessions will be repeated in the main cities. In Barcelona, with an initial explanation by Pepa Casado D'Amato and Lucía Marín Forés, we were able to gain more insights into the report and its key aspects. We were then able to enjoy a round table discussion with several of the participants who helped create the report. The table was moderated by Miquel Àngel and formed by Beatriz de Latorre Caballero de Rodas from Savills, Óscar Blasco from scob, Maria Comas Giménez from batlleiroig and Pablo Garrido Torres from b720 Fermin Vazquez Arquitectos. Not forgetting to mention Arantxa Bernadí Ros from BERNADI and Mar Gómez-Luengo Bermejillo from Tétris who also participated in the creation of the report. 👍 Many significant issues were addressed, concluding that the workspace is something that we also inhabit and that the transformation in its design reflects an evolution towards spaces that help to create community and collaborate with others. In the words of Miquel Àngel Julià Hierro: "The coworking concept entered Spain as an economic solution for renting space, initially seen as 'sharing a table'. Today it has evolved towards collaboration and co-creation of projects. It is a cultural question to determine which coworking approach best suits each user: working alone in an office or sharing space with other companies and people from other disciplines? To capture new ideas and solutions, to cross-pollinate, you need to immerse yourself in a collaborative environment beyond the traditional four walls. #GrupIdea #engineering #architecture #expertise #MEP #retail #habitattrend

Something to learn about planning in design: Barcelona feels like someone has put European houses on roads of Singapore. Didn't expect the transport infra to be this good (wide roads, lots of space to walk, cycle, bus, cars). Few pointers: - It has a special design called Eixample. It's like a giant grid with slanted corners so cars and people can move easily - designed in the 19th century by Ildefons Cerdà - There are lots of trees and parks everywhere. This was planned a long time ago to make the city nice to live in. - The city mixes old buildings with new ones. So, you can see cool castles and modern stuff all in one place. - They're making "superblocks" now. This means less cars in some areas so there’s more space to play and walk. - Getting around is easy with buses and trains that take you everywhere you want to go. Barcelona shows us how cities can be fun, green, and easy to get around if you plan things way ahead for scale. 🌳🚈🏰

🏡 Architecture doesn't just shape our physical spaces, it shapes our daily experiences. And what's a daily experience without a cup of coffee? ☕ Coffee adds that special touch of ritual to our routines, making it an integral part of our lives. But can coffee and architecture team up to create a healthier and more sustainable environment? 🏡 ➕ ☕🟰❓ 🤝 At Coffeefrom, we believe they can. That's why we're thrilled to follow in the footsteps of MaterialDriven with Adele Orcajada DiGiacomo and embark on a journey to Spain to participate in the ARCHITECT@WORK event. 💬 One of the event's highlights will be the discussion on "Healthy Materials for Human Wellbeing." This initiative aims to raise awareness among architects, designers, and contractors about the materials they use and their impact on our health and the environment. By providing them with new green options, we're paving the way for a healthier future. 🗓May 8th and 9th 📍 IFEMA - Feria de Madrid, Pavilion 4, Avenida Partenón, 5, 28042 Madrid. Let's explore together how coffee and architecture can collaborate to create spaces that not only look good but also promote wellness and sustainability. We can't wait to meet you in Madrid and embark on this journey together with Coffeefrom. See you there! #Coffeefrom #SustainableLiving #sustainablematerials #sustainability #innovation #startupitaliana #circulareconomy

Helsinki isn't just Finland's capital; it's a city where creativity thrives. Back in 2012, the city earned the prestigious title of World Design Capital. This means Helsinki takes design seriously, using it to build a better future. Helsinki believes design can help create sustainable ways of living. This focus on good design is even included in their city strategy. They also joined UNESCO's Creative Cities Network as a City of Design in 2014. But what makes Helsinki's design special? It's not just about making things look pretty. Helsinki's design philosophy is woven into every aspect of the city, from awe-inspiring libraries and playful playgrounds to user-friendly digital experiences. It's about making the city work better for everyone. Helsinki's journey offers some great ideas for other cities: ✨ Design is more than looks: It's about making things functional and enjoyable for people. ✨ Work together. Designers, leaders, planners, and even everyday citizens all have a say. ✨ Use data. This helps ensure design solutions actually solve real problems.
