Trauma is a heavy burden, one I've felt personally. The video "Reborn" by Boulder Crest Foundation struck a chord. It's a raw look at the challenges our veterans, active-duty military, and first responders face daily, highlighting the potential for Posttraumatic Growth (PTG). Boulder Crest Foundation isn't just treating symptoms; they're offering a path to harness trauma and transform it into strength. Their PTG programs, like #WarriorPATHH and #StruggleWell, are pivotal in this mission. Kudos to Atlantic Pictures and Neymarc Visuals for capturing this narrative so authentically. In the words of Ken Falke, Founder and Chairman of Boulder Crest Foundation "Traumatic experience — although none of us want it — if you can learn from it, can be the defining moment of our lives." Kent State University (https://lnkd.in/g85-7PNg) is one of the historical sites that should influence talk of Army National Guard presence on campuses. Principles of de-escalation serve ADR, law enforcement, emergency room, and many other professions/professionals. Additionally, failure to self-regulate--and how do student protesters manage individual participant behavior any better than fraternities, or schools themselves--has resulted in third party scrutiny and oversight increases (not just Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration, but also professional organizations and government agencies). How do we best promote coexistence of sometimes competing values?
