Don’t forget to take our survey! Modern slavery continues to make headlines in Sussex as struggles of exploitation, trafficking, and enslavement unfold across the region. Recently, cases around Eastbourne, Crawley, Chichester, Uckfield and Hastings have involved human trafficking for drugs transportation, benefit fraud, negligence of the vulnerable, and debt bondage to enslave local and foreign nationals. Ardea is undertaking a research project into modern slavery in Sussex to establish how local stakeholders approach and address the issue. We believe a more coordinated approach that brings together the work and commitments from different sectors across Sussex is likely to create a multiplier effect. As part of the research, we are developing a tech solution with a well-established UK-based company. We invite you to take part in a five-minute survey to help us understand perceptions of and approaches to modern slavery within Sussex businesses. https://ow.ly/ftPW50PntEf

Our country has every resource, talent, attraction, facilities, etc. The only thing we collectively lack is the civic sense. You scream at the top of your lungs, but everything you say lands on deaf ears. People make petty excuses to break the law. Some justify their act by naming the big public administrative offices they work for, or naming the relation they have with some random political figure and many more. We as citizens (educated) of this nation have failed the system. Everyone wants to save their time and money conveniently at the cost of others' time, money and rightful convenience. No point in raising questions about what your respective public representative or administrative system has done for you unless your hands are clean from cheating your own fellow citizens.
