Tougher bail monitoring laws passed by NSW parliament following death of Molly Ticehurst   • The New South Wales government has passed legislation that will make electronic monitoring devices mandatory for people on bail for domestic violence offences.  • The laws were introduced to parliament following the death of childcare worker and mother Molly Ticehurst earlier this year.  • The Governor of NSW is required to sign off on the legislation before it becomes enforceable.    https://lnkd.in/dHBZJTmT   Ensuring the safety and protection of domestic violence survivors is paramount. 🔍 **Narcissistic Triangulation in Family Court** Narcissists can manipulate family court dynamics, creating high-conflict situations. They use triangulation, involving solicitors, court officers, social workers, and children, to control and escalate conflict. 🔄 Solicitors and court officers can unknowingly advocate for the narcissist's cause. Policy wins require patience and perseverance, and we're making strides towards meaningful change. Introducing Bill 25-319, a proposal that aims to amend DC's Human Rights Act and make the path to justice more effective for workers who experience unlawful discrimination. The bill was introduced by Councilmember Nadeau in June 2023 and First Shift testified at public hearing on the bill which was held on December 6, 2023. Bill 25-319 will give more D.C. workers who experience employment discrimination their day in court to seek relief for discrimination. It also allows D.C. government workers to seek compensatory damages and attorney's fees, an important deterrent to stop illegal discrimination. Worker advocates, including First Shift, have been working to bring about changes to the process at the D.C. Office of Human Rights since 2017. We commend the tireless efforts of all those involved in advancing this bill. Stay tuned for further updates on the next steps, and eventually a vote by the D.C. Council. How Family Courts delay #Careproceedings and remove children from mothers? Family Judges act incompetently and allow legal team of the councils to draft edit and implement false Court orders . The Judges accept inappropriate application without following the rule of law and some time with just one email and the Legal Aid would not know which party was the reason for the delay and who caused waste of public funding? The Judge is partial towards the Councils legal team and social workers work dependently upon legal team of the Council which cause significant delay to conclude the #ChildrenCareProceedings in #London . The family judge allow the council to restrict the children contact with mother for 8 months and one year . The Court does not deal with real issues instead waste so much time and public money by instructing unnecessarily private medical experts to prepare reports to cover up social worker false reports. Instead of making social workers accountable the Family Judge allow them to restrict children Court and to make further unnecessary applications with just one email.
