In a significant move towards reducing its carbon footprint, Stockgap made a momentous decision to switch its fleet from diesel to GTL (Gas to Liquid) fuel. This transition has resulted in a remarkable reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by up to 50%. Additionally, the adoption of GTL fuel has led to an impressive 88% decrease in nitrogen oxide emissions. It is encouraging to see Alberta based businesses taking the lead in Retrofitting EXISTING Diesel Locomotives to be fired by Hydrogen Fuel Cells. This cuts lead times by up to 5 years over new builds. These conversions are being undertaken just an hour north of CPKC 's Head Quarters at the Historic Ogden Yard in Town of Innisfail , a town founded by Canadian Pacific more than a century ago. In fact, a siding has been built linking the facility to CPKC 's line between Edmonton and Calgary. Working at INNOVO , I am confident that over time, this technology will be profitable to CPKC, but most importantly, benefitial to the Environment. This is why Alberta Regional Rail Inc. is cooperating with Alberta Municipalities | Strength in Members , Government of Alberta and Transport Canada - Transports Canada to develop a network of net zero inter-city travel options. CN CPKC BNSF Railway and other right of way owners in Alberta and Montana will benefit from right of way investments by Passenger Rail Operators and Municipal partners. Brightline Trains has shown Canadians and Americans this collaborative approach is profitable for all of the parties. We are full steam ahead into 2024. Happy New Year Integrated.Travel
