Are trade fairs just about sales, promotion and leads❓ We want to believe they’re not❗ Next to obvious advantages of personal meetings, trade fairs are the right place to listen and speak about important business matters concerning the future of the given industry. Matters that are neglected? Underseen? The BIOEXPO Warsaw did their homework well and devoted time to some essential topics during International Trade Fair for Organic Food and Products. 📌 5th of October: We’ll be happy to take part in the discussion on alternative materials and packaging options with Polska Izba Opakowań and Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz - IW Textile Research Institute: Do materials that would genuinely meet the restrictions and would be a real answer to sustainability frustrations exist? 📌6th of October: "PPWR, i.e. the new EU law on packaging"- another burning issue of the industry. Every STEP counts 🛣 On the road to sustainable trade fairs Sustainability at trade fairs is a complex topic. We focus primarily on the environmental compatibility of trade fairs and congresses within our sphere of influence. Taking steps in the right direction takes commitment, time, and looks different depending on your company or organization. We are aware of that - which is why we operate on a grading system where companies have to achieve a minimum score to qualify for the Sustainable Exhibitor Award, but they don't have to reach 100%. All you have to do is fill out the survey and submit supporting documents. 🌱 Embodying the step-by-step mindset, our grading system ensures that every measure contributing to a greener future is acknowledged and appreciated. You don't have to fulfill every aspect included in the survey, since we consciously promote and reward individual measures, as these ultimately form a whole. Our conviction is that every step towards a sustainable future is important. This approach is also reflected by the two possible awards winners can receive - Silver and Gold. And even if your sustainability strategy for trade fairs does not quite reach the threshold needed for either of them yet, you still profit from taking part in the free survey.
