I happen to be taking a management training course today and the first thing the instructor said caught my immediate attention. A lot of companies view new managers like horses vs. humans. Horses come out of the womb ready to walk and gallop whereas humans need to develop and grow to that point. This is such a good comparison for managers. Many times we promote people into a management role with little to no up training. I’m proud to work for a company that is trying to invest in management training and happy to be on the ground floor as we siphon through different platforms. All companies should commit to investing in their managers development! #leadership #development
