Week 4 of being at TAMI
Starting a new job is always a mix of excitement, feeling like the new kid at school, and getting to really understand what is going on day to day.
If there is anything that I could take away from the last few weeks, it would be the following:
📶 Data is King - Having the right data on your target accounts and identifying the right accounts for your team to pursue is more important now than ever. With the rise of tools like Outreach and Salesloft, it's easier than ever to contact vast numbers of prospects, but the spray-and-pray approach really isn't the way to go. It's the best way to get a bad reputation and it's totally unnecessary.
🏋♀️ Your people are your superpower - Getting to know people when you start is one thing, but getting to know their skills and talents is so much more important. Luckily, I've joined a team with a huge amount of talent. Not only in the sales team but across the board, the TAMI team is really impressive at what they do.
🎷 The small things make the culture - Simple things like music playing in the background, team events, and clear and consistent communication make all the difference in how people feel day to day. Good culture is key, especially in such a young company. There will be bumps along the way, but if people are bought into the project, it makes it so much easier.
Now it's time to kick on and make some waves - more to come! 💪
