44 people attended our team monthly demo yesterday. 44. That's a new attendance record. That's awesome right? The demo lasted a whopping 10 mins because most of the team was on vacation in Aug and we didn't have as much to show. Now you're thinking why have the demo...... 2 reasons We like to keep the regular cadence. We care about being in touch with our users. The demos are for them, not us. The things we showed in those 10 mins were valuable. Work doesn't have to take weeks or months of completion time to be of interest to others. Small changes can have a huge impact on user experience. In the past 2 days, we've had 14 demos get booked. 👀 In all of Nov Dec '23, we had 14 demos get booked over those two months. Every time we get a demo booked, I take a moment to be thankful. I'm thankful because I know that a booked demo means an opportunity to potentially have a new store use Alia. More importantly, it's definitely going to be 15-30 minutes where I'm able to learn and grow as a founder and salesperson (founder-led sales!) Based on the increased number of demos, it feels like our messaging is sticking and that stores are looking for new opportunities and new apps to try out. Here's to more demos and also to surprising people on calls when they find out that I'm a co-founder. 🍻
