As one of the largest global insurers, Generali is committed to reduce the protection gap for vulnerable communities. Since 2022, Generali and UNDP partnered to collectively pursue this shared objective and to unlock the security of SMEs, through access to insurance, risk finance solutions, and loss prevention frameworks. The collaboration has also initiated the UNDP "Insurance Innovation Challenge Fund’’ project where Malaysia is proud to be one of the first Asia markets to drive this. The "Insurance Innovation Challenge Fund’’ aims to support the development of insurance solutions, including financial and technical support and to further promote insurance culture in Malaysia. Here is an overview of the performance of Kenya's insurance sector in FY 2023. Kenya Reinsurance Corporation recorded the highest profit after tax and the lowest price-to-book ratio. Jubilee Insurance led in total assets, shareholders' funds, and total dividend per share. 🚀 Aon Unveils $350 Million Insurance Program for Ukraine's Economic Recovery 🇺🇦 Proud to share that Aon, in collaboration with the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the Ukraine Ministry for Development of Economy and Trade, has launched a groundbreaking $350 million insurance program aimed at accelerating capital investment and economic recovery in Ukraine. This initiative includes: ✅ A $50 million reinsurance facility for war risk policies ✅ $300 million in war risk insurance specifically for Ukraine's health care and agriculture sectors “Capital will not go where it is not protected and this unprecedented program with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation is intended to unlock and accelerate investment in Ukraine at a time when the need is most acute,” said Aon president Eric Andersen at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin. The UNDP Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Tashkent Financial Institute and the Association of Professional Participants Insurance Market of Uzbekistan, launched an initiative to open a training center that is aimed at training specialists in the insurance sector.
