My heart goes out to all former employees of Air Namibia, especially those that were cabin crew members and are now struggling to secure jobs because their cabin crew experience and skills in the aviation industry aren't really transfererable to other fields. Most of them become flight attendants with a minimum of a high school certificate (matric/grade 12) with no tertiary qualifications. However, I think they'd actually do well in consulting / customer service and marketing jobs. The question is, are they willing to accept these wages compared to what they used to earn? Lesson learned from this situation is that never get too comfortable at your current job. Anything can happen. Also, it's important for one to develop some new skills by studying part-time while working.

Your contract must be strategically worded to prevent the French government from rejecting your request. Even when hired, your work permit requires frequent renewals to make it easy for the employer to terminate your contract and give your job to a French person.
