As part of our activities during the AIX Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany, Aris Promos- Promopoulos, Sales Director at Fokker Services Group, had the pleasure of being invited as a keynote speaker at the prestigious Cabin Space Live Theatre. During the panel "Cabin Environment: Achieving the Ultimate Ambiance and Wellbeing for Passengers," moderated by Satu Dahl, editor of In Flight Magazine, Aris and fellow panelists from IFPL Group, Priestman Goode, and Aircraft Lighting International explored what’s necessary to create the ultimate cabin ambiance. Here are some key takeaways: 👉 Stunning design elements like colors, scents, and shapes used in luxury aircraft create a passive level of brand differentiation. 👉 Responsive technology that activates when needed—whether for sleeping, working, or relaxing—enhances passenger experience without being overwhelming. 👉 Space, sound and lighting solutions are key to addressing confined spaces and lack of natural light, helping to maintain passengers' circadian rhythms and minimizing noise for a tranquil cabin environment. When the conversation shifted to comparing VIP and commercial aircraft: 🛫 Combining the best of both worlds can offer high-end hospitality with simplicity. 🛫 Design with certification in mind to keep projects and costs realistic. Future Trends in cabin interiors: 🌲 Environmental awareness is no longer just a box to tick or a byproduct of government regulation. It has become a genuine interest from passengers and will play a significant role in future innovations, driven by customers’ desire for eco-friendly travel options. 📈 Predictive Technology: Using data to anticipate and meet passenger needs. Join the conversation and discover how we’re making strides in aviation innovation! #AIX #VVIP #AIX2024 #cabininteriors #aircraftmaintenance #MRO #VIP #aviation #aerospace In images (from left to right): Satu Dahl (moderator), Aris Promos (Fokker Services Group) and esteemed panelists.

The conversation around accessibility is notably increasing and we expect it to be a common theme at AIX in May 2024. Signage is crucial for aircraft safety and communication, providing a visual cue that makes the cabin easier to understand and navigate. We are noticing an increasing number of airlines thinking about how they can make their cabin interiors more accessible and enhance clarity for all passengers.

Today, I'm off to Hamburg for my annual pilgrimage to the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX). I attend almost every year, and it's always a fantastic event where I get to witness the incredible innovations enhancing the customer experience. This year, there are three key areas of focus: seating, food and cabin service, and in-flight entertainment. From the tiniest rivets to full cabin overhauls, everything is on display—lighting, internet access, seats, you name it. Many of our clients are at the event, making it a perfect opportunity to catch up and see the latest developments in their businesses. It's always exciting to discover what's new and innovative in the industry. Interestingly, aircraft interiors are typically revamped every 7 years. So, when you step onto what seems like a brand-new plane, it's often an older aircraft with a fresh interior fit-out. This market is massive, with the UK alone estimated to hit 7.8 billion USD in 2024. And here's a fun fact: a third of the world's aircraft seats are manufactured in Northern Ireland. Impressive for such a small country! Do you have an industry expo or trade show that you attend every year for inspiration? #Hamburg #AIX2024 #Aircraft #Aerospace

'Bigger is best' Chadi Saade, President of Airbus Corporate Jets, on the factors favouring the ACJ TwoTwenty. “With a jet, you want to be able to stand up and walk around. You want to take a proper shower, conduct productive meetings and sleep in a proper bed; these are what you get with an ACJ TwoTwenty, and not just for a single person. You can have up to ten people sleeping in proper beds in an ACJ TwoTwenty.” "Comlux is a major partner of ours. They have done very well as a completions house offering a wide range of design and interior options to high net worth owners, government and Head of State clients." "All our aircraft can now fly with a 50 percent blend of SAF and aviation fuel and by 2030 they will all be able to fly with 100 percent SAF onboard." For this month's Aviation Business News Aircraft Cabin Management, Chris Brady got his crystal ball out for some 2024 seating predictions… "We will see a ‘less is more’ design approach to aircraft seating. Not only will this mark a move away from a features-first approach and towards “comfort is found in the spaces”, it will also allow carriers to minimise weight and therefore be a step closer to meeting sustainability targets. In fact, efficiency in general is going to be high on the 2024 agenda with many airlines continuing the quest to add more seats for the same carbon footprint." Take a look at the full feature from page 22, where Chris also explores the door vs. no door debate and sophistication in seat mechanisms. https://lnkd.in/eQCAXbCm #AircraftCabinManagement #AircraftSeating
