Visit the Verizon Business booth W2042 NAB Show 2024 to experience the live #5G broadcast of National Hockey League (NHL) games in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Vizrt and Zixi facilitating the delivery and management of the streams at 4 PM on Monday the 15th and Tuesday the 16th. The companies have developed several new advanced workflows, taking advantage of 5G connectivity and MEC (Mobile Edge Computing) to deliver live camera to cloud video streams for REMI production. Public 5G MEC utilizes both Zixi and AWS Wavelength Zones to deliver multiple streams from live events, transcode to NDI for the production to access cloud-based video workflows for any of a number of production requirements including live replay clipping, graphics creations, composition and video mixing to create an ultra-low latency video program for distribution to partners, MVPDs or Direct to Consumer via Zixi over Verizon 5G. The flexibility of these workflows is ushering in a new era of remote and virtualized production capabilities especially designed to address the growing need of sports production. Demonstrations of the technology stack are available to experience in the Verizon booth at NAB throughout the show. Phil Abbott will be providing an overview and demonstration of the Zixi ZEN Master live video orchestration and telemetry control plane that enables Zixi users to manage large-scale configuration and monitoring of the Zixi Enabled Network.
