SHAKE UP YOUR HOLIDAY BEVERAGE PROMOTIONS While seasonal favorites like pumpkin spice and peppermint are beloved by many, introducing new and differentiated products for the upcoming holidays is equally crucial. Here's why: APPEALING TO VARIETY: Not everyone has the same taste preferences. By offering a diverse range of holiday beverages, you cater to a broader audience. Some customers may crave novelty, while others seek comfort in familiar flavors. STAYING RELEVANT: Arguably the most important consideration. The food and beverage industry is dynamic, with trends evolving rapidly. Introducing new drinks keeps your brand relevant and shows that you're attuned to changing consumer preferences. CREATING EXCITMENT: Novelty generates excitement. When customers see something fresh on the menu, they're more likely to try it out of curiosity. This can lead to increased foot traffic and sales. REPEAT BUSINESS: Regulars who love your classic holiday drinks will appreciate the variety. Offering something new encourages them to visit more frequently during the season. In summary, a mix of tradition and innovation ensures that your holiday beverage lineup appeals to both loyal patrons and adventurous fun-loving newcomers. 🎄🍹

Daily Dollop of Wallop #30 I am a huge advocate of how food and drink makes us 'feel'. The feeling that is created upon a chomp and a slurp. Good or bad. It is usually hard for the the things we require for survival, for them not not create a new or bring forth and old feeling. In order for us, as humans, to fully experience 'enjoyment' it must be a three part equation of pleasure people memory = enjoyment. Our pre-frontal cortex depends upon the three things in order for us to truly feel enjoyment. The reason why I am bringing this up is that, often, I will ask people in a training session or just generally sometimes this question: "Relative to food and drink, what gives you the most enjoyment?" Most of the time, the answer is focused more on the food and drink items themselves. This is where I find most people go. We all know, that food and drink, when taken out of the context of it being pure sustenance, is best experienced when in the company of others. What about the people who you share food and drink with and thus the memory/memories created? With this being said, my question is simple. Do we need to have more visually compelling messages around the word enjoyment and how food and drinks can create this (especially when looking at the equation above)? On socials, on menus, on restaurant fascias, on billboards, on tube platforms, on newspapers, on chalkboards and in person, when engaging with people. I don't think we have lost our way by an stretch, but I do feel that if we could shine a light more on this enjoyment equation, we could help to move food and beverage a little more into pop culture. What do you think? #enjoyment #pleasure #people #memory #happiness #ukhospitality #wineandfood #foodandwine
