Something fun as we head into the weekend! These are photos of an annual car show that happens near us in Allen Park, Michigan, every summer (organized by the Allen Park Downtown Development Authority).
Main street in downtown Allen Park is blocked off for the event, which also features great food and music. Here are some photos we have taken over the years. Do you have a favorite classic car?

Drop 😀 if you read this! I just attended a CAR SHOW as part of Little Italy San Jose's Annual Italian Festival. Those vehicles are all so beautiful and expensive. But I could not stop thinking about this article I wrote a while back, about machines that are PRICELESS! And guess what? We all OWN ONE! THE HUMAN BODY...Check this artcle out and drop a comment after the quick two minute read!
When we plan cities with a focus on cars and traffic, that's exactly what we get. However, by centering our planning around people and places, we create vibrant communities where people can truly live, work, and play. Let's build cities that prioritize human experiences and well-being. #UrbanPlanning#CommunityFirst#DesignForPeople"

An auto show lacking meticulous planning is like a car without a steering wheel – it won't end up where it's supposed to.
Overlooking details in venue choice, security, or crowd management can turn what should be a thrilling event into a logistical nightmare. Without expert planning, your car show might not rev the hearts of your community.

I see tons of concerts every year -- big ones and small ones. I'm not sure about you, but I will pay dearly to see an artist or band that is important to me. And I'll skip the rest. Here are my 2 cents on this supposed "trend" about fans not paying up to see shows this summer.
* LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. No one wants to see a show in a giant venue with half the seats filled -- and the artists won't want to play to them. Fans want to see artists in the places where we can see (and feel) the music. These giant venues are no fun unless they are packed and everyone in the audience knows every song. The audience is part of the dynamic. The Black Keys are being smart, instead of canceling...they are re-tooling their shows to be in venues where it will be fun for fans (and them). J Lo -- not so much. Rather than reworking her show, she's canceling. Sorry, but experimentation for the win.
* FAN SERVICE: The smart artists are playing smaller shows and also double-billing them. Pay attention to this trend. I'm seeing Jane's Addiction and Love & Rockets and they're well paired. Both shows will be awesome and who knows -- maybe they'll all end up on stage together. The chance for the unexpected to happen is part of the magic. Plus, the show is Pier 17 in NYC. It's an outstanding outdoor venue with a view of NYC. Could they have played at a bigger venue? Sure. Would it seem as fun? No way.
Welcome to the Summer of the Mysteriously Flopping Arena Tours. Why are so many tours struggling to sell seats? How is this kind of large-scale misjudgment possible with so much data available?

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1940 Ford Opera Coupe.
I am not usually a fan of pre-war American cars, but from the time I saw my first Business Coupe at an auction in California I have always had a soft spot for these interesting cars. This specific car is actually officially the more rare Opera Coupe, but it maintains the same stunning exterior styling reminiscent of the legendary Lincoln Zephyr. I have driven a few of them since seeing that first car, and the smaller size makes them one of the few pre-war American cars that seemed to be designed from a drivers perspective, especially on the modern roads of today.
