Delighted to report the Sale Completion this week of GARNOCK VALLEY CAR COMPANY LIMITED owned by Compton MacGill to LM Motor Company owned by Leigh McAvoy ! In 2020 Ford UK announced their decision to move away from the Retail Dealer Network and through LinkedIn I contacted Andy Barratt (Ford UK MD) to offer assistance to Dealership Owners, the Dealership Representation Team introduced me to Compton MacGill, who clearly wanted to retire, little did we know it would take four years to sell ! Gareth Angove of the The IMDA recommended my services to a LinkedIn post by Leigh McAvoy in January 2024 and the rest as they say, is history……. Moral of the story: Persistance is Sales is Essential and so is LinkedIn !!
