🌟 A very warm evening to all my connections, As the 6th-semester results are released, it’s officially time to say goodbye to college life. These past three years have been a wonderful journey full of surprises and new adventures. I am incredibly grateful to all the teachers and amazing people I’ve met along the way. Key takeaways from my college life are: 1. Participate: I cannot emphasize enough how much stepping out of your comfort zone helps you grow as a person. Challenge yourself to go above and beyond to achieve personal growth. Participate in classes, attend interviews, and join societies! 🚀 2. Understand the difference between a friend and a classmate: Throughout these years, you will meet many people, so it’s essential to distinguish between friends and classmates. You don’t always need friends to enjoy classes; sometimes, lighthearted interactions with classmates can make the experience enjoyable until you form deeper friendships. 🤝 3. Engage with students from different departments: Limiting yourself to your department won’t allow you to expand your horizons. Engage with students from various departments to broaden your perspectives. 🌐 4. Time Management: Balancing academics, extracurricular activities, and personal life is crucial. Learning to prioritize and manage your time effectively will benefit you long after college. ⏰ 5. Don’t forget to have fun: Amidst all the chaos, don’t forget to enjoy your college life. Savor every moment because the time will fly by, and you won’t even realize it! 🎀 To all my peers and mentors, thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Here’s to new beginnings and continued growth! 🚀

It’s special to witness the beauty of unity among people. The recent energy that student athletes and fans brought to Purdue University’s historic #MarchMadness run. Purdue’s collaborative event with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and Indianapolis Motor Speedway to host an education-filled viewing party for the #TotalSolarEclipse. The establishment of the Tyler Trent Pediatric Cancer Research Center within the Purdue Institute for Cancer Research. We can take giant leaps when we do this together. As we look toward #PurdueDayOfGiving on April 24, I wanted to highlight 3 special initiatives taking place on campus right now: 1.) Purdue has one of the highest campus housing utilization rates in the #BigTen. To accommodate this high volume, Purdue is constructing a brand-new residence hall that is specifically designed for students who are a part of the Data Mine. This will be an 8-story facility with 896 beds. The Data Mine is an interdisciplinary living-learning community open to students from all across campus. 2.) For the first time since 1961, Purdue’s most historic building – University Hall – will be undergoing a much-needed renovation. The new concept for the renovation will reflect the initial floorplan from University Hall’s opening in 1871, which is more of an open concept to foster collaboration among students. This building was funded as part of John Purdue’s founding donation and is where he spent the final day before his passing. 3.) Purdue is establishing a collaborative building between the Purdue University College of Pharmacy and the Purdue School of Nursing. There has been a tremendously increasing need for nurses and pharmacists in #Indiana, while investing in interdisciplinary skill-building among pharmacists and nurses in terms of both patient care and research. Whether it's these initiatives or a different area at Purdue that has your heart, there are endless ways to launch your legacy. Make your gift between now and 11:59PM on April 24th! Thank God for Victor Davis Hanson & his willingness to speak truth even when it comes at personal cost. I enjoy hearing him speak with wisdom, knowledge, in his hard-hitting "between-the-eyes" style to provoke us to serious thought. I hope you do to! According to the brief interview below, the "woke policies" of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are not what they appear, or seem to be on the surface. Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion is a big, fat Lie! It is "false truth" that baits companies to give preferred status to people based on race, gender, skin color & culture, instead of one's true ability to succeed. We all knew this would "fail" sooner-or- later, & fortunately, it appears "sooner" has arrived and the wrecked-ship is beginning to "turn to port" on The Left. D.E.I. has not only failed American corporations, but also manu citizens, who go into $10,000's worth of debt each year for college tuition; America's universities lose $100,000,000's in endowments; and Big Tech Companies lose market share & competitiveness when they let DEI hires go. In 2023, 191,000 workers at U.S.-based tech companies were laid off. To-date, 77,762 workers at U.S.-based tech companies have lost their jobs in 2023-24 alone. Last year, in 2023, Amazon cut 27,000 jobs; Meta 21,000; Inte, 15,000; Google, 12,000; Microsoft 11,000; BTW, this trend isn't just limited to the tech corridor in California, either, as Dell, an Austin, Texas-area hardware heavyweight, is reorganizing its workforce. (according to the Austin American - Statesman newspaper) will reduce its workforce by 10,000 in 2024. I encourage you to pray for our public universities, and especially smaller state colleges. As you consider the dark clouds on the horizon, of a down jobs market, please remember to pray for the Federal, State, & Local Government; and our University Leaders. The United States still has plenty of excellent public universities, corporations, and leaders, who recognize people, based on their God -given gifts, talents,& abilities, rather than Class, Privilege, or Wealth. The Founders of the United States created a Republic as a truly "meritocratic country", where everyone may have a fair chance at the "Abundant Life" which Jesus promises to us (see John 10:10). Thank God there are enough states, who "live & rule by Meritocracy" (i.e. ruling by & holding power over people by selected on the basis of ability). The return, and progress, of Meritocracy may be slow, but we know ultimately the fit survive & thrive. I want to give a "Shout-Out" & Congratulation 👏 to my alma mater, Texas A&M University, & my father's GA Tech (both mentioned by VDH below). Both are recognized, at least in Silicon Valley, for turning out higher qualified job candidates than even Stanford University, in the heart of The Valley of California.
