Do you know the team here at Atlas Translations? Meet Project Manager, Rhys Stevenson. After studying for his BA in German and Russian, Rhys spent a couple of years teaching in Zurich where he relished getting acquainted with the various Swiss dialects of the German language. He then completed a joint master’s degree in German and Comparative Literature at universities in Germany and Scotland and put his language skills to good use in the travel sector, operating school tours across Europe. He made the leap into the translation industry in 2020. These days, Rhys lives in Edinburgh’s seaside suburb of Portobello, which he affectionately calls ‘Costa del Forth.’ Outside of work, Rhys is a keen theatre-goer and is lucky to have the Edinburgh Fringe festival on his doorstep every summer. He also enjoys being involved with the environmental and LGBTQ groups in his community, volunteering annually at a local Pride event. Despite being born in Yorkshire, which is famous for a making ‘a proper brew,’ Rhys actually prefers coffee over tea! As a language enthusiast, Rhys loves working with linguists from across the globe on our clients’ multilingual projects. Whether you call, email or use the nifty live chat on our website (manned by an actual person during uk office hours) it’s a real human being like Rhys you’ll be speaking to. That’s great to see the live, real people behind a company name. I prefer tea over coffee though, and no milk please 🤔
Nice to learn a little more about you, Rhys Stevenson! Hope you are well and fully caffeinated. ☕

2moIt's so nice to get to know the person a little. When interacting through a screen and being fully focused on work, it's a great reminder that there is a living person, with interests and a whole life, on the other side.
