On the island of Yap in Micronesia, stone currency like this was a symbol of wealth. Often giant in size (twice as large as an adult!), the disc-shaped monoliths were carved from limestone imported from another island and prominently displayed outdoors. Though no longer used as money, Yap stones still contain power as a medium of exchange. You can see this historic display and many other amazing monetary artifacts at the Atlanta Monetary Museum. Free self-guided tours are available from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. (ET), Monday through Friday. Appointments for group guided tours can also be made for schools, businesses, and community groups. As a sculptor creating site-specific paper installations and sculptures, I wanted to see what in which way I can use artificial intelligence for imagining new things. You can have a look at my creations on finnish national gallery´s website alusta.art, which is "a place of possibilities, inviting everyone to engage in a new era of digital art and creativity" and where you can also collect NFT´s https://lnkd.in/eyHGkQQq #artificial_intelligence #A.I. #NFT #sculpture #paper_sculpture

Flex Culture 2 I Vietnamese Art I LIGHT sculptures The light sculpture is a different type of art, which leaves an impression on art collectors as well as the majority of young people. The artist sculpts objects crafted from wood and ceramics and adjusts the source of light to determine the angle and distortion of the object. The final product is then positioned in front of the light to create intentional shadows and shapes that reflect the sculptor's vision. Topics of light sculpture often are the people, stories about life, culture, history... Taking inspiration from human elements, the light sculptures comprise three key components. The BODY represents the physical structure or a wooden or ceramic block, the MIND symbolizes wisdom through the lamp, the light, and the SOUL embodies emotions, manifesting through shadows and images. To create a sculpture from light, it is crucial to figure out clearly the shape of the work. It is also important to accurately calculate the structure and size of the real sculpture to ensure that its shadow will not be deformed. Sculptures are mostly created from driftwood and ceramics, which require special care from the artist. A moment of neglect might cost a whole block of wood. Besides, in recent times, many light sculptures are used from stone, cement, and even old discarded items such as old helmets, bottles, and cans of soft drinks. or paper boxes... daily waste and waste. Explore the captivating world of light sculptures, where artistry meets innovation and tradition merges with contemporary storytelling. - https://lnkd.in/gPS3qGww - https://lnkd.in/gAwhCGKs - https://lnkd.in/gzeQGAXF - https://lnkd.in/gPhWiSf7 (Light sculpture with daily waste) - https://lnkd.in/ghaFBBus (Light with apples shows Steve Jobs Image) - https://lnkd.in/gCNFZVwj (Vietnamese Artist) Source: Internet ------------------------- #MagicLife #Beauty #VietnameseCulture #LightArt #LightSculptures #LeadershipTraining #SelfDevelopment #ArrangementArt #ProudVietnam #AI Cited if used

Coinciding with the Lunar Eclipse this year is HOLI - the festival of colours. Did you know that colour is part of LIGHT, which is made up of vibrating energy? There's so much science behind colour, and it's why art is so important. Paintings are nothing short of frozen energy; cloaks of frequency which envelope our living and working spaces. Modern society has relentlessly propagated minimalism and monochromatic palettes, but on this festival commemorating purification, renewal and the new season of spring, let's use colour to thwart darkness and ignorance. Lower vibrations produce warmer colours like reds and oranges, while higher vibrations produce cooler colours like blues and indigo. At the highest vibration, the two ends of the colour spectrum meet together and produce violet. So, this Holi, let's embrace the beauty and power of colour. Happy Holi, y'all!

How do you approach art? Art is a living dialogue, true time traveler showing that we are all connected by an invisible thread. It is adding a piece to the collective mosaic of human expression. By creating, we not only pay homage to our predecessors but also forge new paths. We draw upon the whispers of ancient stories, the echoes of forgotten melodies, and the shadows of lost artworks, infusing them with contemporary relevance and personal insight. As we are all connected, each new creation is a possible link to the true original, to the one that nobody ones, nobody created, one that is the source of everything we get to be creative ourselves. To what lies at the core of existence. www.sanjari.eu #artisticexpression #creativecommunity #culturalheritage #innovationinart #traditionmeetsmodernity #artisticjourney #humanexpression #sanjari #sanjariart

www.nineoclock.ro: “Connecting Worlds”, the new fine art exhibition proposed by WIN Gallery, is a tribute to the multitude of encounters between worlds and cultures, by Mioara Iofciulescu “Connecting Worlds” is centered around the process of acquiring knowledge, making discoveries and accommodating to novelty. It is a constant in our lives, equally beautiful and disquieting. We chose this subject because we are traversing a period when science is making extraordinary leaps, at once promising and challenging. Discovering inner and outer worlds entails an inquisitive spirit, the courage to delve into the unknown and the willingness to accept change as inevitable. To become aware of oneself and one’s surroundings, fascination and doubt must walk hand in hand, shaping the journey. Along this process, connections between people, cultures and mindsets flourish, enabling new ways of seeing and thinking. Introspection, rites of passage, symbols and travels are just a few among the many vehicles for exploration”, Irina Stoenescu, Chairlady of WIN Gallery, stated. The buta, also known as the paisley, is a teardrop-shaped motif with a curved upper end that originated in ancient Persia, now modern-day Iran. It gained prominence in Azerbaijan, becoming a symbol deeply ingrained in Azerbaijani culture and art. The buta represents life, eternity, and prosperity, often adorned in textiles, ceramics, and other forms of decorative arts. Its intricate patterns and vibrant colors are a testament to Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions. I used artificial intelligence to turn the Buta atribut into a brand icon and set it as a pattern for clothes, carpets or similar clothing and objects. The result is the patterns you see in the picture. #ai #buta #pattern #digitallife #aiphoto
