It's remarkable to see the strides Saudia is making in transforming Saudi Arabia into a global transit hub. The airline reported a significant 52% growth in international passengers and a 30% surge in flight operations in the first half of 2023 compared to the previous year. This progress is reflective of the Kingdom's ambitious aviation strategy, with Saudia aiming to triple their annual passenger traffic to 330 million by 2030, thereby connecting over 250 destinations across 29 airports. With the addition of three new international routes—Dar es Salaam, Gatwick, and Nice—Saudia has expanded its footprint across four continents. In parallel with these developments, the airline welcomed its first Airbus A321neo, marking the commencement of a fleet expansion plan set to introduce 20 new aircraft of the same model by 2026. Furthermore, Saudia's commitment to safety and excellence is clear, as evidenced by their successful completion of a 10th operational safety audit by the International Air Transport Association and an ascent to the 23rd position in the Skytrax ranking, an 11-spot improvement. These accomplishments are bolstering the overall growth of Saudi Arabia's aviation sector, which saw an 11% increase in Q2 of 2023. As the industry observes Saudia's journey, their efforts continue to reinforce Saudi Arabia's growing influence in global aviation. #saudiarabia #saudivision2030 #visitsaudi #tourism #travel #hospitality #destination #Aviation #Growth #Saudia #GlobalTransitHub
