It's a bitter-sweet day. The bitter is that Snow Christensen & Martineau as a stand-alone institution will become no more after serving Utah and beyond for 135 years. The sweet, however, are the various benefits, synergies, and advantages that come with merging with a national law firm with presences in numerous markets and active practices in seemingly all substantive areas that any client could benefit from. Change is always difficult -- and can sometimes be painful. But I personally know from many experiences in my life that changes -- and definitely major changes -- can lead to far better outcomes than one could have ever expected beforehand!! And I have no doubt that the union between SCM and SpencerFane will garner such an outcome.
We will be the same attorneys, in the same locations, representing the same clients. We, however, will be backed by a larger arsenal to call upon when necessary to pursue the best results for our clients, as has always been the focus.
