We had such an amazing time last Saturday at the Educating Landscapes seminar in Rieti! Inspiring new generations with sustainable architecture practices is a significant goal for us and last Saturday, we had the chance to engage SOUx Rieti’s students in exploring the concept of "Generative Circularity". Through hands-on activities and using recycled materials to recreate the installation, students created their own version of the installation. At the end of the day, we have taken a conference open to the community “Evolving architecture: innovative dynamics for a sustainable and inclusive future”. Thanks again to SOUx Rieti, Linea Archiettura e Paesaggio and Arch. Marco Rosati for inviting us! The design and implementation of my generator embodies Deleuzian concepts by reimagining space as fluid and multiplicitous. Similar to Deleuze's notion of rhizomatic structures, where connections proliferate horizontally rather than hierarchically, our technology fosters interconnectedness within urban environments. Through its adaptive nature, the system embodies Deleuze's idea of becoming, constantly transforming and evolving in response to its surroundings. By embracing these philosophical principles, my flooring system transcends its function, becoming a dynamic force for reshaping urban landscapes and fostering sustainable futures. #Graphene #architecture #sustainability

| Roca Gallery | TOPIC OF THE MONTH - Migrations, Memory, Recovery Millions of people across the globe are being displaced from their homes in response to extreme situations such as wars and natural disasters. Economic hardship and the lack of opportunities are also provoking a pattern of massive migration to urban areas, resulting in the depopulation of rural communities. Architects have a crucial role in grappling with the conflicts and challenges arising from these developments by providing design strategies for both short-term as well as long-term recovery. Fascinating insights on our latest Topic of the Month - Migrations, Memory, Recovery, from internationally renowned architects, academics and designers including: Dorte Mandrup Delfina Rocco, Architectural Association School of Architecture Hua Li TAO | Trace Architecture Office | 迹 · 建筑事务所 Discover more at Roca Gallery, our platform for listening and exchange around topics of design, sustainability, innovation and architecture: https://bit.ly/3WcRh0C #architectureanddesign

Did you know today is World Architecture Day? This year's theme is 'Architecture for Resilient Communities', which is a key focus for DAMAC Properties. We strive to build cohesive, liveable and sustainable communities that meet the long-term needs of our residents and exceed their expectations. World Architecture Day also coincides with the United Nations' World Habitat Day, which reiterates the basic right of all to adequate shelter - a cause that means a lot to me. Ultimately, the developers of today have a responsibility to create safe, enjoyable and environmentally friendly living spaces for future generations. Because the best architecture is both beautiful and functional. #WorldArchitectureDay #WorldHabitatDay #architecture

Genostep epitomizes the principles of Deleuze's DeLanda's architectural theories by reimagining urban spaces as dynamic, process-driven environments. Like DeLanda's emphasis on the flow of materials and energy within built landscapes, Genostep integrates seamlessly into the urban fabric, transforming the movement of pedestrians into a renewable energy source. This approach reflects the notion of territorial de-formation, where conventional boundaries and functions of architecture dissolve, giving rise to adaptive and responsive designs that resonate with the vitality of city life. #renewableenergy #genostep #architecture

#Europan #E17 Winner in Kenniswartier (NL) -- SYMBIOSIS -- by AS: Nicolas Gustin (BE), Przemyslaw Witkowski (PL), Miguel Serrano (ES) – architects "The main issue addressed by the "SYMBIOSIS" project aligns closely with the theme "Living Cities Imagining architecture taking care of the milieus". It focuses on redefining urban spaces to foster a deeper integration between natural ecosystems and built environments. The project emphasizes the regeneration of existing structures and the creation of communal, adaptable spaces that allow for a harmonious coexistence of urban and natural elements. This approach contributes to ecological and social evolution by promoting sustainability, community engagement, and a more thoughtful interaction between human activities and the natural world. By reimagining urban landscapes, the project aims to create living cities that are vibrant, adaptable, and in tune with the environment, thus addressing both ecological and social dimensions of contemporary urban challenges." #europan17 #livingcities2 #architecturecompetition #urbanplanning #urbanism #landscape #competition #architecturaldrawings #archilovers #axonometrics #kenniswartier #nederland

Daylight Awareness Week - Day 2! Today's topic: Daylight in architecture over time. Three new #DLAblog posts are now online: https://lnkd.in/e9sfpBsT. Read, comment, and share links and resources about the topic using #DaylightWeek. Help us give daylight the visibility it deserves! “Despite daylight’s prolonged existence in architecture and centuries of examination, there is still much to learn,” writes Mexican architect Alejandro Díaz Infante Rendón, arguing that we currently inhabit spaces which are insufficiently lit during the day and excessively lit at night. You can read how the role of daylight evolved throughout architectural history and why Rendón believes that daylight constitutes a crucial aspect of architectural practice here: https://lnkd.in/eY_gjqV4. 🤔🏛️ Deep Dive into Modern Architecture's "Meaning Overload": In this era of rapid change, it's easy to overlook the intimate dance between us and the structures that surround us. Our stories, beliefs, and aspirations are imprinted upon our cities and landscapes. As historian Yuval Noah Harari posits, a tapestry of tales binds humanity together. Do our buildings and spaces reflect the dreams and fears of our collective psyche? 🔍 What stories do you think our contemporary buildings tell? How do they resonate with our shared narratives? #ArchitectureTheory #MeaningConstruction #IntersubjectiveRealities #BuiltEnvironment #ArchitecturalDialogue #UrbanNarratives #YuvalNoahHarari #ModernSpaces #ArchitecturalStorytelling
