The second edition of Kevin Flinn’s Leadership Development in Practice: A Complexity Approach explores “the leadership development approaches that best support managers to work with uncertainty by taking their experience seriously. It offers an alternative perspective on leadership and organisation for business schools, consultancies, and corporate training functions to adopt in their development of leaders”. The book is rooted in the ‘Hertfordshire school’s’ complex responsive process view of organization and management practice. Highly recommended. #complexity #leadership #organizationaldynamics #managementdevelopment

A lot of excitement here. Incorporating manufacturing capabilities into a battery design can provide several advantages: Vertical Integration: Having in-house manufacturing capabilities allows for greater control over the entire production process which leads to improved quality control, cost management, and responsiveness to market demands. Customization and Flexibility: With manufacturing capabilities, Acculon will have the flexibility to adapt and customize designs to meet specific customer requirements or to address emerging market trends. Reduced Costs: Over time, in-house manufacturing can lead to cost savings, especially when producing battery packs and modules at scale by optimizing processes, eliminating markups from third-party manufacturers, and reducing transportation costs. Innovation and R&D Synergy: Tight integration between our design and manufacturing teams can foster a culture of innovation. Engineers and manufacturers can work closely to experiment with new materials, production techniques, and process optimizations. Reduced Dependence on Suppliers: Depending on external suppliers can sometimes lead to supply chain vulnerabilities. Having manufacturing capabilities can reduce this dependency and mitigate risks associated with disruptions in the supply chain. Faster Time-to-Market: With in-house manufacturing, we can potentially bring new designs to market more quickly. We have more control over production schedules and can respond swiftly to changing market conditions, as well as rapidly addressing any trouble-shooting between design elements and manufacturing processes. Quality Assurance: We can implement stringent quality control measures and ensure that every battery leaving our facility meets your exacting standards. Safety: We can uphold our highest safety standards from the first stages of design, through the last product validation tests: EVT-> DVT -> PVT. Environmental and Ethical Considerations: We have more control over the environmental impact of your production process. We can implement sustainable practices and ensure that your manufacturing processes adhere to ethical standards. Competitive Edge: In-house manufacturing capabilities can be a powerful differentiator in a competitive market. It demonstrates a commitment to safety, quality and control that can resonate with our customers and partners. Intellectual Property Protection: By keeping manufacturing in-house, we can better protect your proprietary technologies, processes, and designs.
