Palliative Care is not “end of life” care. Palliative Care is appropriate at any age and any stage of illness. Carelon Health sees patients from age 14 to older adults who have a short time to live and those who will live another 10 years. The purpose of Palliative Care is to relieve suffering and provide an extra level of support that may not be available from the patient’s medical provider. Patients may be near the end of life, but many others benefit from Palliative Care at an earlier stage of their disease. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/e-fdWRH4
